I think most people acknowledge that Bob is corrupt - it's just that most have come to acknowledge that most other promoters are probably also corrupt.

name me a major promoter that does not do this, influence the decisions of judges, influence the decisions of referees, or influence the decisions of state commissions?

Arum's a scumbag, but all the top ones are. What's Chavez going to do, go to Golden Boy where they're honest promoters that have never done a wrong? :D

I can't name you any because I don't have any facts to back up those claims as opposed to Bob doing it. Can you speculate on promoters doing it? Sure, but unless you have facts that's all that is, pure speculation. And there seems to be a bit of revisionist history going on or people are just ignorant to the facts. The fight that Bob himself admitted to bribing Lee on, the IBF head guy at the time, was George Foreman vs Axel Shultz. So this ****ed Michael Moorer out of not only a rematch but a potential huge payday. Foreman was with Bob at the time, and was supposed to fight Moorer or be stripped. Instead we have Bob bribing the IBF and we get one of the worst shams ever in the title defense.

espn on article on way fight died.

    http://espn.go.com/boxing/story/_/i...-julio-cesar-chavez-jr-gennady-golovkin-talks

"Arum said he relented on insisting on the extension and instead presented Chavez with two proposals. Under one proposal, Chavez would earn a certain amount of money to fight Golovkin without an extension. He would earn far more for the fight if he accepted the proposal with the extension.

"But what Chavez wants is the bigger purse without the futures," Arum said. "Why would we take a risk losing money on the fight with Golovkin and then we lose the kid as well? If we can make money and then he wants to go on his way, OK. But he can't have it both ways.

"So if he doesn't do the Golovkin fight, we'll offer him another fight, maybe for an HBO fight or a pay-per-view fight, but we're not going to offer him a fight where we are taking a big risk and we could lose money. For what?"

arum cites that there is not enough time to promote the fight.

and that chavez jr did not want to sign an extension. says he presented chavez jr with another contract with less money but chavez did not sign that. guess he tried to really short change him based on his wording.
