Chavez was old and past hi prime when he fought a young Oscar. Taylor got his ass kicked. Pernell ran like a chicken and would not Fight.
Haha that's why you guys are hard to take seriously. Chavez got outclassed by Whittaker, as he had a tight draw Manny had "close" fights I think what you mean is, Manny probably wasn't fit to share a ring with JMM at 130. Lost probably 20 of the 24 rounds
Manny lost way more rounds to JMM than Chavez lost to Whittaker In either fight Wasn't even hugely competitive - Pacquiao/Marquez
I'm big fan of JCC but he is a bit overrated. I'mean he is top 20 ATG in the ring top 80 list. It's too much. While Pac resume is better if they fight prime for prime they should do it at 135. JCC will put the pressure on and Pac will hit him plenty of times. Even if his iron chin could take this punches he is going to get cut and so on like Margarito. I see this fight ending by the 8-10 round and I see it as 60-40 fight for Pac (another painful fight for me to watch probably)
Also remember Chavez was a one time Super Featherweight, taking on the biggest Welterweight of the era. A guy who competed at middleweight strongly. The theory that Manny would take on a fighter the level of a peak De la Hoya, is too funny to even consider If Manny was about in that era, he'd be taking on Meldrick Taylor, 2 years after Chavez beat him
Chavez beat prime greats like Edwin Rosario, Hector Camacho, Roger Mayweaether, Meldrick Taylor, etc. Has more world title fights than anyone in history-36 no one can top that. You just dont like Chavez cause he's Mexican and/or you're jealous.
I love that you list a bunch of guys who won't make it to the HOF probably, then follow it with "etc" lmao.
I'm realistic. I think about what "would happen" Not what I "hope would happen" in a dream scenario Bearing in mind Pacquiao has lost 3, drawn 2, and in truth should have lost 2 more, and his best opponent probably wouldn't even make it into any ATG top 100, I have no idea what you base all this on. He's very good at beating guys Chavez ate for breakfast
It's hard to tell about that fight. JCC landed his punches and by the looks on their faces at the end you can tell who landed the harder, cleaner punches
