The scene quotes Rubio's promoter stating the contract has been received and terms are agreed to. They will go to battle in San Antonio headlining the HBO card also featuring Donaire vs Vazquez Jr. It doesn't get much better than that!

I applaud Chavez. I expected that he'd dodge this fight for longer.
This is clearly his toughest fight to date and a win would add a ton of credibility to his resume.

Although Rubio didn't make weight last night, I'm chalking that up to lack of motivation and I imagine he'll have no issues this time.

Martinez was supposed to be next. Will they strip Chavez of the title ?

Rubio is no joke, I actually rather see Rubio vs Jr then Martinez vs Jr., the later will come after if he wins.

Just read that Jr´s team has agreed that the winner will face Martinez.
So Martinez will get Macklin, Rubio and then Pirog/Geale winner :happy
    Perfect.

This will be Rubio's 6th fight in 13 months and he seems to be at his best. Should be a good one.

Its about time. Props to Chavez for stepping up to the plate and finally, FINALLY facing a decent MW

but unless he improves a lot in the remaining time (learning defense would be good) i expect him to get TKO'd before the last bell, failing to get his sure victory by way of cards

I don't know, somehow I think Jr will make an upset against Rubio. Rubio is good but hasn't surprised me at all, very good fighter but not great. I think it will be a close fight, can go both ways.

I can see either fighter winning by late stoppage or a close decision. Props to Chavez and wish him all at the best, should be a great fight

Rubio hasn't lost a fight in 3 years now and stopped Lemieux when Lemieux was considered godlike, that's a very decent bar to start imo

Good point. I'm favouring Rubio by late KO but we don't now how good, or bad Chavez Jr really is. All 5 results (KO, PTS either way or draw) could all be on the cards

Yep, I agree. Now.., can we confidently say that Lemeiux is better than Jr?
