CHAVIT-MARTINEZ is proof to me that Manny Pacquiao, Team Pacquiao, and Bob Arum are NOT ducking Floyd Mayweather. With Manny Pacquiao retiring within the next year or so, it makes no sense that Arum would sacrifice the only other TR fighter that is close to a cash cow / successor to a dangerous guy like Martinez. Arum has every incentive to protect Chavit, yet he's fighting a blazingly fast , P4Per, and KO artist this Saturday. Look at GBP and Canelo - Canelo's fighting a lightweight and making 2 million in the process for ****'s sake.

Besides, how can you argue that Manny is duckin' when Manny has been active and fighting twice a year? Conversely, Floyd always threatens retirement after every single fight. That and the plethora of bizarre statements/video interviews that Floyd has given to the media talking about health concerns and fights that Ali should have never fought.

Flawed logic. Arum has admitted to keeping Chavez away from Martinez. Chavez told Arum he wouldnt renew his contract if he didnt get Martinez.

No amateur career. Young kid. Putting together a resume. Chavez was being developed. Everyone in the free world knew this. This is no different than a highly touted prospect saying "I need a few more fights and then I am ready."
