WBC champion with a better record than Floyd Mayweather. https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/383177 Brilliant boxer, but doesn't get a lot of boxing media attention because he's from Thialand and he fights in a small weight division.
floyd fought in smaller weight division for years. don't compare records without comparing opponents.
Junior lightweight and Lightweight get a lot more attention than Flyweight, Strawweight and Light Flyweight.
don't compare records without comparing opponents. it's ridiculous to bring up records v. floyd if there's no substance behind it.
You're right, opponents are indeed important. Floyd fought old (Hernandez, Mosley) faded guys who had been through wars and KOed (DLH, Pacquiao, Cotto) from smaller weight divisions (Hatton, Guerrero, JMM) or novices with little amateur experience (Canelo). And Floyd always foght in his chosen home town of Las Vegas, where he had dodgy refs (Cortez) and judges (Castillo I, Maidana I) to help out. He fought this little bantamweight who was 1-13 at the time, Floyd made him move up to 130 for the fight: https://boxrec.com/en/event/7866/11835
Look a thread that tries to paint this guy better than pbf. This guy isn't even better than finito lopez let alone pbf.
Stop just stop with this foolishness it's irrational hate and wishful thinking all in one. If you rate his accomplishments better than pbf then they're better than pacs as well. Hell I'd pick Calderon and finito Lopez to school this guy.
you're right, floyd didn't fight in las vegas because it was a mecca and money was made there from casinos rather than the gate for the fight (which was immaterial). he fought there because he needed judges to win him fights....the best boxer of his era. nobody could stand in the middle of the ring with floyd because he could easily break his opponents down if they tried. hater. muppet.
All of history's really great boxers - Ali, Frazier, Foreman, Duran, etc - were willing to leave home and fight without the security of dodgy home officiating. They deserve more respect than the likes of Sven Ottke and Floyd Mayweather.
Stop with this hate. You're blaming pbf for being born American and fighting in the mecca of boxing not his fault. Pbf also schooled over 90% of the fighters he fought. He had like 2 close fights his whole career 1 past his prime so your bought and paid for score card thing Hometown fighter thing holds no merit. The very fact you're trying to bring up a minimum weight fighter to put up against pbf shows me how desperate you're. How many guys do you know that walk around at 105 pounds? The talent pool down there is extremely shallow. What he accomplished is worthy of praise but lets not go overboard. You act like he went 54-0 at 126 or something, he didn't.
Not many here in the US. But in south-east Asia, there are hundreds of millions of guys around that size.
How many boxers are there at that weight when compared to lets say 135? No where the amount of talent. You're reaching here.
Boxing is actually more popular in Thialand, the Phillipines and Indonesia than it is in the USA. More people go into basketball, football, baseball and other sports in the USA. But in some parts of the world, they don't have as many choices.
Basketball is more popular in China than in the USA over 300 million play it there but that doesn't mean they're any good at it.
