A week from Friday. WBC world minimumweight title at stake, 12th defense of Moonsuree. Khonco was previously the IBO strawweight champion, reigning for 2½ years before vacating. His one previous attempt to capture a "big four" major org world championship was a UD loss to countryman Hekkie Budler in South Africa, in which some observers thought Khonco deserved the nod. The incumbent has a 53-0 (18) record that has gained him some international recognition, but his opposition has largely been of dubious quality and numerically has a 607-406-75 record, good for only a 55% winning percentage. His own close scrape, akin to Budler's versus Khonco, was last year against Pedro Taduran. The tale of the tape happens to be identical in this match-up: both men stand 5'2" and have 64½″ reach.
Wasn't the fight supposed to be in South Africa? I have something like that in mind. Fighting in Thailand changing the whole thing ofc. Khonco had some luck against both Canoy and Landero. Could have easily lost one of those fights. Don't see Moonsri losing in Thailand tbh.
That joke is beyond played out, people need to stop mentioning Chickenhead in the same breath as PBF. He'll never be a hundredth the fighter, even if he gets to 100-0.
