Im in the market for a nice pair of gloves and just general odds and sods for boxing. Can anyone recommend a good site and glove make thats not overpriced and offers a bit of value?
I've got a pair of Punchtown gloves and for the money I've been very happy with them. For £55 I think they are great value for money and are great as an all-round training/sparring glove. Punch Town BXR MK2 http://www.google.co.uk/search?scli...&q=punchtown+bxr+mk2&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&pbx=1
What’s wrong with Lonsdale lol... I know one or two fight/sparring gloves that are better than Winning or Grant... keep it to myself rofl.
hah nothing at all its just the ones i have seen in store have no shape and are generally shite gloves regardless of the make
Sports Direct Got headgear which was £45 for £11 in Sports Direct Got gloves, mitts, wraps, pads, for prices in the region of £8-14 I was shocked at how cheap the equipment is. Then again, the quality isn't great, but it's completely fine to work with and I doubt you'll be anything less than pleased with it. It's definitely a good starting kit.
If you're looking for good quality stuff, for a cheap price, then I'd go for Ebay. It may come from abroad but you'll get it a hell of a lot cheaper and it'll be the same product.
I've bought the lonsdale ones from sports direct they are prity naff to say the least, i bought them because of cost and didnt think i would stick out the classes but now i like going to the classes i might invest in a better pair.
u not like that smell, thats the smell of hard work and dedication. u should honour and live by it:deal
Well i have been putting the hours in right enough, how long do you keep the one pair for, should i be changing them every 6 months or so is they smell bad.
dont worry bout the smell what gloves do u have. i had my gloves about a year and there still fine. once the padding starts going u should think bout getting ome new 1's:good we should have a spar
I just bought the cheap lonsdale ones, i didnt want to slash out incase i didnt enjoy it. I bought the cheap mitts to they are ok just now i suppose. I'll maybe wait a while till there done and see about getting descent ones. Can you drive to Glasgow
