When an opponent loses to a fighter that is found cheating, why does the lost remain on the losers, record instead of being removed due to the circumstances of why they lost?

This is one of the reasons why it doesn't pay to fight a guy that you think is a cheat, just for the sake of having the fight. Should you loose to the fighter your record will forever be tainted with that lost.

A lot of times it gets changed to a NC, but not always. Depends on the commission. A couple examples of that type of NC - James Toney vs John Ruiz and Orlando Salido vs Robert Guerrero (though I honestly think Salido got a bum rap in that case). Nevada and New York almost always will make it a NC. California and Texas, not so much.

Khan didn't have his lose to Petersen off his record because during the build up and post tests during the fight they all came back negative. The only test that came back positive was as the rematch was closing in.

Big Larry lost his boxing record, but that was because he admitted to using and what he was using throughout his career. Although Larry isn't in the same caibre of fighter as the lads above. (He only fought bums, and lost twice!)

Once a cheat always a cheat bro. He was walking through most of Khan's heavy punches like they were nothing. Bit suspect if you ask me.
