I've been seeing alot of comments on here about cheating due to Atlas' statements last night about Mosley...I am not understanding why people are so defensive of KNOWN cheaters (Toney, Holyfield, Mosley, Margarito etc.), in my opinion it is naive to think that getting caught cheating was a one time thing for an athlete....we can not be sure about how many fights a fighter has cheated in, but one thing that usually holds true is that when u get caught it's usually not the first time that you did it...in my opinion if u get caught cheating then alot of your career is in doubt as well unless u can prove that it was a one time thing.
I believe boxing fans are so defensive of boxers who have been caught is because we have watched them, rooted for them, and have become fans of them. After they get caught we don't really want to throw that away because we still like them in a way. However some boxing fans are the complete opposite and say **** them, they cheated.
there're a lot of crooked people involved with boxing.. and yes boxing is a crooked bussiness.. especially if you're not the golden goose you're probably have all the odds against you.. there is a lot of cheating in boxing :hat
Yea i agree is tough to know. And boxing is not a sport that you can be careless about even though there are cheats in EVERY sport. The boxing organizations don't give a S**t either as long as they can make the fight give a percentage to them, they usually let the star gets away with bending the rules.
