hmmm, this thread might make some people unhappy, but here goes. First was a story I read in Sports Illustrated, I'm pretty sure. In the dressing room, just before the Bernard Hopkins - Felix Trinidad fight, Hopkins trainer, when inspecting Trinidad's wraps, determined that they had been soaked in water. If left to dry, they would be "hard as rock", as someone was quoted, probably Hopkins trainer. This all adds up when you compare his destruction of William Joppy to his apparent lack of confidence against Hopkins. Respect to Puerto Rico boxing fans, I know hopw it feels. I'm Canadian. Remember Ben Johnson. The other one that sticks in mind, but no evidence, is Lonnie Smith's devestation of undefeated Billy Costello in a Jr Welterweight fight. He was too much. He had to be juiced. Here is the fight. This content is protected
Matthew Saad Muhammad v John Conteh I - Saad suffered a cut so severe that his cornermen took the initiative to seal his cut with an illegal coagulant that basically set like cement. Doubtful he would have finished the fight without it. Erbito Sallavarria v Betulio Gonzalez - Sallavarria was found to have been using sugar water between rounds, which was illegal. The WBA declared the title vacant and sought to award the title to Gonzalez who refused it. Only accepting the crown after beating Socrates Batoto for the vacant title.
If you’re going to mention guys being on PEDs, then it’s probably like 70% of the sport lol Coggi-Gonzalez 1 was the worst robbery This content is protected
