Multiple media sources. You didn't know this? The official weigh in for Golovkin vs Jacobs was moved to around 9 in the morning yesterday, instead of the usual time that weighins take place like late afternoon, or early evening. If you need proof just look at the time stamps from multiple media outlets that reported the weigh in weights. The weigh in results for the official weigh in were published on multiple news outlets, yesterday morning. Yes, the IBF second day reweigh takes place the morning of the fight. The possible issue for a boxer that intends to rehydrate quickly and rest, is that when they moved the weigh in to 9 in the morning, the IBF next day reweigh time didn't change, to my knowledge. That means, that the boxers had to control their rehydration for an extra seven to eight hours, so as not to go over the 10 pound limit.

I was wondering if there was a contractual obligation for the same day weigh in. I think the IBF has a 10 pound weight gain limit. So the butthurtedness comes from the fact that G stayed within IBF rules and Jacob's didn't. So the G fans feel Jacob's has an unfair advantage because of the weight.

Some of them just want something to complain about. Some of the same guys were defending Lemieux not making the IBF reweigh. It's not like Jacobs new before the fight was signed, that the weigh in would be moved to 9 in the morning. That morning weigh in, made the IBF reweigh the next morning incompatible with Jacobs' weight cut, and rehydration, due to Jacobs having to stay within the 10 pound limit an extra 7-8 hours longer than he initially thought he had too.

Also, he is leaving the IBF slot open for his Haymon stablemate, Charlo.

did jacobs really cheat here? or is it a smart strategic move? the rules apply for the ibf belt that jacobs doesnt care about because if he fights for that belt it might be detrimental for him cuz it would b a struggle to make weight the 2nd time. if its ok to skip the weigh in then its ok as long as its agreed they wont fight for ibf belt. im sure as well that this is all in the contract. and im sure as well that ggg expected this and was well prepared for this because he has a good smart team . best man still wins imo.

funny cuz stevens team is jacobs team so they thinking they learned sum thing in defeat in stevens/lemmy fight. there takin a page outta lemmys fight. but hey didnt lemmy miss 2nd day weigh in vs ggg i kno he just did vs stevens which really benefited lemmy

So you are implying that ggg fans were tempted to racially abuse him

You can't just create these phantom arguments just to create an attack. You are becoming like that man pimp C looking to create problems where there is none just so you can claim racism.

People are attacking Jacobs is because he is indeed a cheat. He cheated with the weigh, and the dubious lax testing he has been under until the last few weeks, suggests to me that he is a roid cheat. His team most likely have to advise him to reign his usage in. All the noise from his camp suggest to me that here is a man transformed through roids.

But I'm pleased and happy this is the best version of Jacobs tonight. It's good and see, I'm not tempted to racially abuse the man in any shape or form.

I don't understand, was the day after weight in the contract? If not, then Jacobs is not obligated to weigh in, nor may it be in his best interest.

Hold up, can I not be a fan of both fighters on this forum? I just hope they don't get hurt.

Prejudism is different than hunger. The land could turn brown suddenly, leaving you without food. While you define your destiny, you ultimately have no control over the future. You do not know when things may turn against you.

Prejudism on the other hand is mind over matter. We all have the ability to turn it on and turn it off. Hate is a mindset that can be mitigated by simply changing your mind. Change your mindset.

    It's an IBF rule.

They should have discarded it, for this fight though when the official weigh in was moved about eight hours earlier than it usually is.
