Yep - Dagestan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan all hard as coffin nails. They produce awesome Muay Thai fighters.
B.S., he didn't retire in his mid 20s and give up arguably 10s of millions in earnings because of his "ego"
You do know that Hamed fought after the Barrera loss right? If you know Yemeni people like I do, you'll know what kind of people they are; genetically very strong for their size but way too lazy and ill-disciplined. Go to Burngreave in Sheffield and see the youth employment rate. Same with the Somalis in the area. Hamed had £30,000,000 in his bank, tonnes of property investments in the UK to earn residual income from and oil based investments in Yemen. Why would you want to carry on when your laziness and bank balance outweighs your "ego"?
I don't fully agree. Hamed was certainly past prime by that stage. I know you don't want to admit that because Barrera is one of your heroes (one of mine, too). Hand problem got so bad, Manny Steward didn't even want him fighting anymore. He was in the sauna for hours upon hours the night before and the day of the weigh in trying to make weight, he was well and truly drained. It's his fault because he didn't allow himself to get into shape the right way. That leads me to my next point, he lost so much discipline, was turning up to training whenever he wanted, he was essentially Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. by that stage of his career. Also, his heart wasn't in boxing anymore, he had been saying that for a few years leading up to the fight. Also, once Brendan Ingle was out of the picture, he faded a lot. Brendan understood his style and his mind and kept the lid on him, like how D'mato was with Tyson. All of those factors add up to a very significant whole. He also didn't intentionally want to paralyse someone, he lost control of his car.
Loads of Hamed fanboys on here Yeah i know he fought after Hamed. He fought a complete nobody so he didnt have to retire on an ultra humiliating loss The guy was a great entertainer who brought worldwide attention to the smaller divisions But outside the ring he was a complete POS And yes @Limerickbox he did indeed retire cause his ego was shattered into a million pieces by Barrera, so take your filthy mouth off your heroes maggot
You don't need to be a fanboy to know that this is the truth. Stop looking for biased, warped dialogues.
Point out what's trolling about my post 1. He was entertaining as hell 2. He brought mass attention to the smaller divisions 3. He was a POS outside the ring 4. Barrera destroyed his fragile ego causing him to retire 5. He fought a bum after so he didnt have to retire on such a humiliating loss. Much like Ricky Hatton attempted 5 FACTS you damn marshmallow brained kumquat
And yes @Limerickbox he did indeed retire cause his ego was shattered into a million pieces by Barrera, so take your filthy mouth off your heroes maggot That sums up a troll comment pretty nicely. Ignoring the actual debate and just making a childish comment to get a rise out of a fellow poster. The guyt had hand issues going back years, and thats why he didnt fight on. He didnt give up 10s of millions because he lost a friggin boxing match.
Holy ****, it's like somebody welded a truck bumper onto dude's hand! Yeah. I'm pretty sure he could kmtfo at will.
I was gonna say have you Golovkins cause they do not look remotely big. S*** did that sound like Blizzy
