Not many guys can compete with that, that I can think of off hand.Alot of top guys only have that many fights when they retire.

Also he won his first title in 1987.He's fighting for a world title 20 years after he won his first world title. Not many men can say they did that.

I think Julio Cesar Chavez was involved in 37 world title fights. But other than that, I can't think of anybody above Hill.

His longevity is amazing. He isn't performing at a high level anymore, but he can still fight. I'd say he's a future HOFer, though not a 1st ballot one.

Hill has always stayed in great shape and really hasn't ever taken a beating....mostly due to his style. Hill vs. Hopkins might be good.

Out of his 57 fights,32 of them were world title fights.

Thats something like 56% of his pro fights were for a world title.

Thats kinda crazy if ya think about it.

Hill has never been an exciting fighter to watch, but he's always in top shape and very crafty. He carved himself out a pretty remarkable career considering that he fought out of North Dakota.

With the title watered down to title belts, the accomplishment is not anywhere near as big as if he did it when there was one title, and no cruiserweight or 168 lb. division taking a few contenders away from lightheavy.
