Punch statistics are not facts, they are 2 guys opinion of what they saw. Only people with no other argument use stats. Chocolatito Gonzalez outlanded Rungvisai by over 200 punches in the first fight. Punch stats and there percentages don't mean ****.

I'm the first one to argue that you cannot judge a fight based off punch stats.

Golovkin's best case for winning the fight is that he landed more jabs than Canelo. I'm simply using what the GGG fanatics argue in his favor against them.

It's not just fanatics though is it, Canelo fanatic. Almost every one in boxing reporter and fighter alike thought GGG won, only Canelo diehards and his team thought Canelo won.

I think Golovkin stands a better chance is he's more aggressive.

    Two false statements.

Not almost everyone, and not only die hard Canelo fans.

Do you believe that most fans and ringside observers are trained or dedicated enough to properly score a complex and close fight like the first fight? Using the four criteria in judging a pro fight. Factoring defense, clean hard punches, ring generalship and effective aggression?

The fight was very close, it can be argued either way much like the Jacobs-Golovkin fight.

We’re it just a few you’d have a point but we talking about hundreds of opinions of those in the sport, heck even pro Canelo channels like Dontay and Ego had GGG winning.
On the night to my mind there was Oscar,BHop and Floyd snr who had Canelo winning.

So by your logic everyone else is a Goon lol

The vast majority had GGG winning, popular public opinion is GGG won or should have. Only the small minority which you are a part of believe Canelo won. This what was as much a draw as Whitaker vs Chavez was, there should have been a clear winner in that one too. But the money man always gets the breaks.

By my logic? Was I the one who stated that only die hard fans of either fighter had one or the other winning?

Lets keep this convo honest Andy.

Its obvious as day that the fight was very close. I guarantee you that you can post your scorecard and rounds you gave GGg can be argued for Canelo.

    Let me ask you this for some perspective. Who did you have winning the following fights;

    Mosley-DLH 2
    Pac-JMM 2 and 3

    You're really comparing Chavez-Whitaker to Canelo-Golovkin?

    No, just no.

    No way.

    Chávez-whitaker was a robbery. Canelo-GGG was a close fight.

    What's your scorecard for Canelo-GGG?
