ODLH on your list? He has one of the best resumes around. Are any of them really cherry pickers? If so, who were they supposed to fight and could those fights have actually been made. Don't use Floyd/Pac, cause that can still happen.
Oscar fought Pac, Floyd, Mosely twice, Vargas, Chavez, Quartey, Whittaker, Trinidad, Hopkins....are these all cherry picked????
Pac moved up from 122 to 126 and with no tune-up fought a prime Barrera and a prime Marquez back to back. Then after a stay-busy fight he moved up in weight again and right away faced Morales. Cherrypicker?
Exactly. Until the Pacquiao fight (Which I thought was a **** move at the time ) Oscar has been the antithesis of a cherry picker. If Oscar had wanted to, he could have been a Calzaghe-like figure, except a three-division champion with a better resume, and hoarded away a 140-pound title for years and retired undefeated. He'd have probably gotten more respect out of forumites here then. The dumb ones.
It's obviously Pacquiao, he fought Hatton coming off a loss, Morales off a loss, Clottey off a loss, Cotto after being exposed by Clottey and Margarito, Margarito off a loss, De La Hoya after being turned into a zombie and closely after he lost to Mayweather, Oscar Larios off a loss. Cherry Picking is fighting guys coming off a loss or being exposed. /endthread
