Chico is overrated. Low skilled and glass jawed. Manny knocking this guy out is more likely than the opposite. If he doesn't Manny knocks him down 20 times and wins by landslide decision. No RIP for the wife beater.

I really cant give Chico anymore than a puncherschnce in this.

Pac is faster, more awkwrd, hard hitting and very accurate, he would take full advantage of Chicos dodgy defence and questionable chin. I see him dropping Chico a couple of times before winning a decision, he may also secure a late stoppage.

Yeah I never get that. Almost any fantasy matchup involving Pac and any great fighter from the past always comes down to that particular past fighter winning. It's like a "slugger" like Pac would never win against great fighters of the past. Meanwhile we have threads pitting Joe Calzaghe against ATGs Bob Foster and Archie Moore at 175 and many people actually pick Calzaghe to win those 2 fights. What's the deal?

As for this fight. Pac KO's Chico. As great as Chico is he'll have major difficulties with Pac's speed and movement. Seriously I don't know why some people still use the "if Pac slugs it out, he'll get KO'd" argument. You guys must've forgot what happened last Saturday. Pac showed us how smart and PATIENT he is. He knew DLH was stronger so what he did was box and move and methodically broke him down over 8 rounds. DLH was out of it as early as the 3rd round, yet Pac still kept his cool and still boxed instead of slugging it out and trying to knock him out. He knew that DLH could hit him with something big at any moment in the fight.

That's what's gonna happen against Chico. You guys seriously think that Pac would suddenly get dumb and and slug it out with a big puncher like Chico? No. He'll do the same thing he did against DLH and David Diaz: And that is to box and move and have a very controlled aggression whenever he goes in for the kill. Chico will surely be far more competitive than those 2, but in the end Pac would be too much for him IMO. I think its time we put the "slugger/puncher" moniker behind and seriously start thinking of a "boxer/puncher" Pac as that's what he's clearly evolving into.

Are people voting for Pacquiao for a reason here. Chico was breaking granite at 135, and has significant size advantages against Pacquiao, height and reach wise. In terms of hand speed, this is Manny's obvious advantage but Chico was never slow, and I feel he could hurt Pac with either hand. Manny has never tasted power like Chico's, who would most certainly hold a belt at 135 if he was at his peak today.

I'm with Chico by late TKO.

Chico isn't on that level and also doesn't have the style to trouble Pac, nor the defense to hold him off.

Pac takes him, surprisingly (to most people) one sided fight

Chico doesnt hit any harder than DLH. This will look like a repeat of PBF-Corrales but worse, soon as Pac hurts him, he finishes him. Chico was far too slow, too robotic to catch Pac. Pac outboxes him an outbombs him as Pac will land first and land more.

Pacquiao wins this fight. Diego does not really use his reach advantage

Pac by late KO... Pac has changed defensively, he's still the offensive machine we got used to, but he picks when to do it now unlike before when he just moves forward. Chico likes slugging it out, but doesnt really take advantage of his physical advantages because slugging neutralizes your reach and height. I believe that he has the power to Ko Pac tho, but I just think Pac will be too fast for him.

Peak Corrales throws shots, shot De La Hoya doesn't and that was clearly vindicated the other week.

Pacquiao isn't the boxer Floyd is, Pac will get hit quite often because he leaves himself vunerable to the right hand, and he could very well catch some left hooks on his way inside also. Pacquiao has fought 1 fight at 135...1..and he destroyed a guy Corrales would have finished off inside 7 rounds. Corrales has size and reach advantages, hits twice as hard as anybody Pacquiao has ever faced (with the exception of shot Hoya,), had fast hands, was one of the best hookers in the game, and was the naturally bigger man.

Why are people picking Pacquiao? I don't want to hear that sour grapes crap about him automatically losing in Fantasy matchups. every single factor points to a Corrales victory, and by knockout. Why would you compare Floyd to Pac, everybody seems to think Pac is a master boxer now that he danced around an ancient Hoya, but have forgotten he was outboxed by Marquez not once, but twice. Forget it.

I think this version of Pacquiao beats Chico. Too many tools, too fast, good footwork and movement. I think it would frustrate Chico.

Pacquiao's last two fights have been excellent, and I agree that this version beats Corrales.

I think Today's version of PAC could possibly win. He's so much improved, BUT his aggressive demeanor may get him stopped. He needs to move and use his speed and power to out-point the late Chico. I think the late Corrales would eventually land something huge and it'll be over.
