Pacquaio is the oddest case of a fighters durability evolving that I can think of.

Not even taking the Marquez knockout into account, as that's beyond the point in my opinion. Interesting stuff.

Listen up - glass jaws don't just go away. You either have one, or you don't. Now, sometimes, fighters are able to compensate for them by developing some other skill - elusiveness or solid defense, for example - but they don't go away.

Others, like Ruiz, just cheat to make up for their lack of whiskers - and skills. :yep

No. There are just cases of a fighter getting knocked out and then not getting knocked out in another fight.

lewis and wlad. wlad is not iron but he took shots from peter in the second fight and the hayemaker in round 12 where he was visibly hurt but held on. old wlad would have fold from that shot

You can't go from glass to iron chin. Lol.

A chin is something your born with. It's largely neurological, not physical although building up huge traps and neck muscles can improve your ability to take a punch to a relatively small degree....look at the size of holyfields traps for example. However, there are numerous examples of legendary fighters that have iron chins but not huge traps. There are examples of fighters that have huge traps but do not have iron chins e.g. James Kirkland.

It may be appear that a fighter has gone from a glass jaw to an iron chin but the fighter could have been weight-drained and dehydrated. When a fighter is dehydrated in order to make weight, there is a lack of protective fluid around the brain which is impossible to replenish between the weigh-in and fight time.

Eusebio Pedroza is an example of someone whose punch resistance improved as he moved up in weight.

I for one do not believe Amir Khan has a glass chin .

If that was the case , Maidana would have sat on his stool after the 10th rnd and begin to read Khan a bedtime storie after he should've put him to sleep when he caught him with a couple of bombs . But that did not happen . Amir did not go down .

Khan's chin is unreliable Yes but not glass .
