I'll have to get officlal sign-off for approval by MM, or another chin-checker, but I think Taylor's chin has, and always will be the problem, definitely more than his stamina. . . I suspect the stamina issue has always just been a promotional cover, so he can still be viewed as a legitimate threat now that he has "fixed his training, and diet problems", and his "stmaina is now 100%."

Ever since that first stanky leg he did as he retreated to the ropes against Pavlik, before being brutally rendered unconscious, his chin has been brought to light. . . Before the Pavlik fight, he had never fought a boxer with a good punch. . .

Taylor's chin is not on the level of a Roy Jones, but it's no better than a C-. . . He's been dropped by B+ type power guys like Pavlik, and Froch, and actually did a "fencing response" to the KO A level power puncher Abraham dealt him. . . Now, he's even being dropped by feather fisted guys like Truax. . .

 

Magic, watch this. . . Watch right after he gets dropped. . . Notice how his arms went straight up in the air? That is called the "fencing response" (just in case you didn't know). . . This is a sure-fire sign of SHATTERED GLASS. . . This is when you know your glass mandible has not only been cracked, but absolutely shattered. . .

Taylor has a horrible Glass Jaw and Pavlik and the Super Six Tourney proved that conclusively.

CHIN CHECKERS, are there any glass jaws on the card tonight? Neither Tarver, nor Kayode have glass. . OR at least we don't think Kayode has glass. . .

Wright is sturdy. . Quillen is stil an unknown. . .

I see your point, but I thought that by definition all MMA fighters are glass jawed frauds?

 

CHIN CHECKERS, Is it possible for a fighter with iron cheen to be caught off guard by a lucky rangefinder jab and be put on ***** street? Or is that a sign of a wet-one-ply-toilet-paper-esqe chin?

 

I'm curious as to where you rank Julio César Chávez Sr.'s chin. Reason is he showed an tremendous chin throughout his boxing career, but was KD by Randall and stopped by Tszyu and his other losses were by decision or injury(Cuts and Injured hand). Thank you and keep up the good work.
