I think it depends on people's definitions of 'chin'.

Someone like Kevin Mitchell, for instance, has only really been properly knocked out by Ricky Burns who, granted is a comparatively light puncher but caught Kevin with a sweet punch. Mitchell's loss to Michael Katsidis was from accumulation. He was stopped on his feet. Like Lucian Bute was against Carl Froch. Likewise, some people are just plain bloody… like Jorge Linares against Antonio DeMarco. Or Henry Cooper versus anyone. This, in my opinion, is completely different to someone like Jones Jr kissing canvas and staying vertical for minutes while his seconds rush to grab smelling salts in order to revive him.

James Kirkland's three first round knockdowns suffered against Nobuhiro were, for me, flash knockdowns. I probably would have let him start round two (may have to see it again), but he was up. Amir Khan's most concussive droppage was against Breidis Prescott. His teekayo loss to Danny Garcia was probably at the right time, but when Kenny Bayliss waved the bout off, Khan actually looked decent (from the referee cam).

Enzo Maccarinelli is a good shout. He won via fix in his British title bout at cruiser. He should have been destroyed in the first round but British or Box Nation rules dictated that the first round in national contests are only two minutes. His knockout losses are all pretty bad.

You have to take into account the fighters that knocked these guys out. Ishida is a feather-fisted journeyman who Kirkland was expected to blow away. Instead, he got completely annihilated by a guy who can't crack an egg

Khan was on ***** street from the moment Garcia knocked him down the first time. Yeah, Bayless called it a little early, but Khan was CLEARLY a (light) punch from complete unconsciousness. Oh, and let's add that Prescott was no great shakes either. Who of note has he ever stopped besides Khan?? Nobody.

These are two of the most obvious cases of china chins in boxing today.
