There's been a dearth of discussion on punch resistance lately so it's time for a bit of Chin Talk. Since no Glass Jawed Jokes have been exposed lately we should probably steer the discussion towards something a bit more positive like.....

Dan Henderson's legendary Granite Mandible. I had him near the top of my ATG Iron Chinned Warriors list before last night but I think the guy might be usurping Hunt for the title after what we witnessed. Here's a natural MW that has taken blows from the best 185 and 205 lb fighters for over ten years without ever being KOed and then he adds on to the legend by taking one of the HW division's biggest punchers best shots and KOing him moments after being knocked to the floor with a barrage of punches to the Chin.

Dan Hendo embodies everything that is good and noble about punch resistance in sports involving punching BUT is it better than Hunt's? We have to take into consideration that Hunt has been KOed now and that Hunt never fought larger men than himself. Hendo has been dropped more often than Hunt and we haven't seen him eat Mirko's left high kick for breakfast but he's never been stopped on strikes and the only time I ever saw him REALLY staggered was when Anderson kicked him, despite having been punched by HWs and face stomped by W. Silva.

So, who is YOUR ATG Iron Chinned Warrior?

You would have Aerts and Hoost over Hunt for K-1's best Chin? I don't get the logic here.

Aerts and Hoost have been knocked out numerous times :huh, Hunt and maybe Ignashov are the two best I can think of in K-1.

i would have to say dan henderson is #1 in mma

    his chin is steel.

    SOLID STEEL.

in boxing i would say hagler, eubank and lamotta.

in k1/muay thai i think dekkers and hunt.

hagler got blasted in the ****ing face by thomas hearns and kept coming though, i think he might be #1 of all time.
