This thread is for general Chin Talk. Questions or comments can be made regarding your favorite fighters Chins. Several Glass Jawed fighters have fights coming up also so we need to discuss Punch Resistance and the role it will play.

In the Kirkland fight lets not forget he put Glass Jawed Kirkland down and then proceeded to punch himself out hitting nothing but gloves and air. If he was patient and picked his shots better Jelly Jaw Kirkland would have been out of there. I think that KO had more to do with being tired than anything that fight easily could have had a different result.

As far as the Lara fight his eye was grotesque and although it was a quit job the referee should have stepped in first.

Angulo isn't a bad fighter but he isn't very good either. HBO tried to force him down our throats early on in his career. Have to give Kirkland credit for getting up and beating him.

 

Wilder I am interested in watching on Fri. If this was even the version of Sergei from the Briggs fight Wilder would be getting knocked out. It is pretty pathetic when a totally shot and shop worn guy like Sergei is a 'step up'. He has a lot of miles on him. Wonder if Tommy Brooks is still training him? :think

Floyd Mayweather Sr told us Dawson had a Glass Jaw years ago. Said he was continually getting knocked down and out in sparring and that he doesn't train Glass Jawed fighters and it is why he dropped him.
