Well actually, he might be Asian as well. The Japanese have no love for the Chinese, as well as a Filipinos and other SE Asians.

They are the Jews of Asia.

Manny Steward was singing the praises of the Chinese amateur team way back before the olympics, so it's not like they're a bunch of scrubs who got help to win. If anything...this went exactly like he predicted.

I didn't watch any of the olympics actually. I'm not exactly patriotic...and I'll worry about potential pro stars when the time comes for it.

The fact is the Chinese team was considered to be pretty good coming in, as backed up by Emmanuel Steward. They're going to be robberies in any sport (pro or amateur)...but this wasn't a bunch of guys picked off the street.

They were favoured by people NOT blinded by their patriotism.

There were some good Chinese boxers. They had a pretty decent 141 or 152 pounder, can't remember. But their Light Heavy and Super Heavy were trash and they both medalled because the Chinese were getting a lot of help. The team that was actually rated number 1 and highly favored was Russia, and they were almost systematically removed through the tournament.

    Well said. :thumbsup

The OP is an idiot and IMO should be banned. Racism has no place in a boxing forum. If I started a thread saying "these fuc**ng n*gg*rs are cheating c****" im sure id be banned in an instant.

I call that a robbery. They completely ignored at least 12 points for the Russian in that fight.

Yeah maybe it was a closer fight than the scoring indicated but when you don't give points for legitimate punches landed its robbery plain and simple.

The scoring in all the fights I watched seemed inaccurate.

I will say this though about the US boxing team, they seemed to be poorly trained tactically for this system. Whatever happened to jabbing? This system seems ideal for jabbing and you almost never heard the coaches telling the US fighters to jab more.

I think the entire US boxing coaching staff should be fired.
