Haven't seen this movie but I was wondering if any of the featured boxers are competing in the Olympics now. Anyone know?
We are on the internet. Right now. Any additional information will be better than the sentence you just wrote. You could provide a link to the documentary, or the name.
Thats a picture of Adrian Broner (Former WBO Superfeatherweight champion) taking a **** to try and make weight for 130 (weighed 133.5, 143 on fightnight)
The name of the documentary is China Heavyweight as in the title. I was appealing to people who may know a bit about it, and as you clearly know nothing about it but still feel the need to make useless posts. The documentary focuses on rural Chinese boxers trying to make it to the Olympics. I've only seen two names listed so I was looking to the knowledgable (not so in your case) boxing experts on this forum for any further info.
I saw this doc three months ago in Toronto. The trainer was at the screening. Not to give too much away, but I seriously doubt any of the fighters in the doc made it to the Olympics. The film says a lot more about Chinese sports culture in general than about boxing in particular; still, worth a look.
Step 1: Google China Heavyweight documentary Step 2: Go to IMDB, the top hit an look at the cast. Step 3: Compare the names to the China boxing squad
Thanks. I saw the trailer ages ago, thought it looked really interesting. God knows when it will get released in the UK or on DVD somewhere for a rip to appear.
trolololololol Americans are going Crazy and Upset that the Eastern Europeans are taking over... The Brits are going Crazy and Upset that the Eastern Europeans are taking over... The Eastern Europeans are basking in glory, that they are taking over... What nobody realises is.. Is that The CHINESE are the ones that will soon be taking over!
