As someone who watches the Asian scene pretty intently...don't give them any more ideas. There are already-
WBC Asian Boxing Council (and silver)
WBC Asian Boxing Council Continental (and silver)
And the OPBF is aligned with the WBC

WBO China Zone (think this has now been abandoned)
    WBO Asia Pacific
    WBO Oriental

    IBF Asia

    WBA Asia
and the PABA is aligned with the WBA

    You are correct!
Northern Chinese folks are generally taller and more strongly built because of the harsher climate, historically more violent struggles, and traditional diet consisting of more red meat.
Southern Chinese folks are generally shorter and have darker skin, due to them traditionally spending much longer periods of time under the sun (because rice requires much more labor than wheat). Southern Chinese folks historically did not have as many violent struggles as the North did with Mongols, Manchurians, Huns, Koreans. Southern Chinese folks also eat more fish instead of red meat.

This is a very general description, though. Very very general. I don't want to **** off any other Chinese dudes here.

I know this is a boxing forum and you don't want a history lesson but here you go! Learn dat demographic!!! :hi:

Ma Yi Ming is getting a ridiculously undeserved crack @ the interim WBA World light flyweight title on Friday. The champ, Randy Petalcorin, is actually coming to Beijing.

To be fair, he has turned his career around and seems like he registered the best win of his resume in his last fight.
And lets not froget that its just an interim belt.

:)!: if i was the head of WBA and Ming were to win, i would elevate him to get into the Chinese market)

the chinese athletic market will grow. as will asia. there's too many people and money for it to fail. but give it time while it grows.

Yeah but while Seran is a decent scalp (definitely Ming's best) he was 1-2 in his last three and coming directly off a loss to a 4-1 novice...

Even for an interim belt, that's a shoddy qualifying result...
