09.37% David Haye. One of those was due to the knee blowing out. So % doesn't really reflect the chin. His first stoppage loss was due to gassing badly due to stupidity.

If this is the standard that they want to adopt, it makes sense (being somewhere between No-Contest? & Exhibition?)

Sugar Ray Robinson fought 202 fights in the era of poor Fitness, yet he was stopped once only. No Neck, Back, Toe, Crying in the ring, Shoulder hurting when Birds poke it.

If it was the era of poor fitness then that'll mean SRR's opponents weren't hitting as hard either. No one hit like Dr Steel Hammer back then

The Heavyweights improved in punching power obviously, due to the increase of frame of of the average boxers. Modern Fitness actually lowered the punching power in 118-147, mainly because those PEDs forced boxers to gain excess weight, becoming weaker-punching shorter boxers.

118lbs 5'10" Carlos Zarate or Sandy Saddler KO many of the "bigger" shorter guys of today

They were real, actual fights... they just happened to take place in a state, that at the time didn't allow an official verdict to be handed down in case a fight lasted the full distance. If a fight failed to last the distance, it would officially be declared a ko, tko, dq (or whatever) - as in any other fight

Makes sense, I guess the posters on Boxrec have another POV?

Tampering with historic records is not good, questions about quality & nature of decisions should be added on a comments section or discussed on forums.

    1/345, Britton on top

How the fark are Mundine and RJJ so well placed on this list? A well timed breeze would knock either of these guys out!

All world champions are on this list, the percentage is showing the % of their KO losses.

The lowest KO loss ratio on top & the highest KO loss ratio going down the list.

RJJ Jr. & Mundine scored the same because they have the same class of Chin 6.67% KO losses, they failed vs Solid punchers, but like all world champions. Their chin is much more formidable than the weaker chins of average humans (~99% KO loss ratio)

I get the criteria. Just seems silly. Would be better to have a chin list based on KDs over the span of total fights. Being stopped on your feet for a TKO would count a KD.

How would the likes of Jake Lamotta, etc fair vs the likes of Mundine? Mundine was packing 100% certified A grade china.

The whole point of the chin is to win fights, otherwise we will throw Sugar Ray Robinson under the bus & hand the honors to Dominick Guinn

Dominick Guinn is a great example of how a boxer can ruin his career, by emphasizing on having a great chin, when outclassed, he simply goes into negative defensive mode & cruises into a sure loss, instead of taking risks in return for increasing the chances of a dramatic KO

Guinn won your "moral victory" Chin award & never got the chance to test his actual potential....going into the risky zone

Ahhh, yes I see. Lets pump up the tyres of guys like Mundine for having won some title fights against the likes of Sam Soliman, Nader Hamdan, Shannan Taylor and [insert your own C level Aussie boxer here]. Makes total sense. At least guys like SRR fought decent opposition. Its an insult to just about every member of this list that Mundine is on there.

In case you didn't realise, I dislike Mundine.

All world champions are in this list, Mundine is obviously not the most likable but we are going by cold emotion-less numbers. Those usually do better than biased humans.

    • Undefeated Mundine was the KO victim of the usually Light-hitting Undefeated ATG Ottke
    • Older Mundine also was the only boxer to stop the formidable Sugar Shane Mosley

OK, think you need to include a broader list including the likes of JCC, Tszyu, Morales, MAB, Eubank, Benn, Kalambay, Nunn, amongst others for to the list for a wider range of chins.
