Del doesn't give the outward impression (crazy antics) of somebody that invests well, but you can't always judge a book by its cover.
In one of the "The Gloves Are Off", I believe for Whyte 2, he said something like I don't mind being a gatekeeper as long as I'm getting good money. He likes to fight but I think Del always looked at it as a business. Why not?
