This is the first time I've given 4 rounds to a Vitali opponent. I found 6 out of the 8 rounds Vitali won fairly close as well (I wouldn't tend to give Chisora any of them, but Vitali didn't dominate like we expected him to do) and Klithuggers will probably be all over me for this but I'm not even sure if Vitali was the better man this night.
He sure was the more experienced but it was Chisora who forced his fight style on him and who took away his jab. Natural differences like size and reach made it difficult for Chisora to land which is why Vitali won a lot of rounds on counter punching while being on his backfoot. It's been proclaimed for years that bobbing and weaving and dodging the jab is the key to beating a Klitschko and Chisora is the first one to execute it somewhat successfully.
Chisora made Vitali look old, slow and sometimes even a little, well not exactly hurt, but surprised at the flush power punches he took especially in rounds 8 and 12. Furthermore, I was surprised at how Chisora just didn't give a **** about Vitali's punches. Vitali couldn't keep him off at all and had to witness a boxer walking through his punches. For some the old saying "Power is the last thing to go" doesn't seem to apply.

Interestingly, I believe Haye is more talented than Dereck but lacks the style and the heart to pull it off. Fighting solely on the outside is not enough even for a very faded Vitali.

    I gave Chisora rounds 5, 6, 8 and 12.

I agree with your score card. As far as Vitali's power being gone that mught not be the case. I think Paul Smith had a good observation when he said that on the back foot or when he can't plant his feet Vitali's power just isn't the same. Also I think fatigue had a lot to do with him limiting his powershot out put and pitty patting more then he normally does.

Personally, I think nobody should be talking about David Haye fighting a K bro right now. The ****ing coward did nothing to make anyone think he has the skill or the stones to have a chance (or deserve a chance) against Vitali. He talked a bunch of ****. Made himself look like a complete bafoon in the build up and embarrased himself in the fight. Derek talked the **** and then brought it. That's what a real man does. David should be shamed just watching this fight.
