It is not one person sat in their bedroom making a ranking. Once it is official it is no longer subjective. This is licensed professional boxing, where there are a limited number of official organisations (some world ones, one British etc)

This is the difference between fans and people who are in the sport and now I’m understanding the difficulties many fans have. It’s due to misunderstanding the structure and rules etc of licenced boxing. It’s not just a fight!
(Kind of like that usyk/dubois low blow, fans said it wasn’t low because it didn’t hit privates, but the ref called it low therefore it is low. He called it low because anything below the navel is low - even hitting in the knee)

People in the sport must follow the rules and official body (not a fan in his bedroom).

Just like different countries have different laws, once the law is in place it is now a law. A judge or jury make a decision and it is official and no longer subjective.
A decision win in boxing is dictated by judges, once they decide the winner it is no longer subjective.
A ko is generally decided by a ref, once he makes this decision it is no longer subjective.
Different judges and different refs make different decisions, but they are allocated representation for the given organisation.

If you refuse to accept the official governing bodies of something, you can apply this to everything in life. Why pass your driving test? Why wear clothes? Why brush your teeth? Who said the number 12 comes after 11? Why speak English? Make up your own language.

going onto wilder and parker, a ranking is based on what you’ve done recently, not if you are a favourite or not. Both were ranked top 10 I think.
The big thing about that fight was seeing what wilder had left, we found out it wasn’t much.
Going into the fight I thought Parker would take it, but official rankings are based on what you’ve done recently achieve or fail to, not what they think of you.
it’s often a lower ranked fighter beats a higher ranked fighter, it’s how people move up rankings.

There are several major sanctioning bodies determining who gets title shots who frequently disagree on top 10 ratings. Their ratings are of more importance than fan ratings in determining fights but since they frequently disagree there is no consensus top 10

The WBA and ibf generally will disagree on at least a few rankings

Only because The Ring continued to rate Ortiz unfairly for years with Jennings being his only decent win. Jennings vs Parker, Chisora and Rivas (who also beat Jennings). Dillion clearly has had the much better career

Chisora would have beat Wilder if they had fought. He'd also have had a good chance at Joshua.

I know this. There is never a consensus top 10 with fans anyway.

Stick to official rankings, other sports respect the authorities, so called fans of boxing often think they are better.
