This. . . Remember they had Ortiz/Mayweather up months before it was announced officially, and everybody was laughing. . . They've also been the first to break other news. . . But I wouldn't worry about it now. . Obviously worrying is no good - what's going to happen is going to happen. . . Hopefully it's just a thing of them not recognizing the fight - some political BS or something. . .
And more relevant in this case Haye vs Harrison, even when Haye had said just before he would never fight him :yep
The way a lot of people in boxing are treating this bout are so petty. They should look at the bigger picture and ask if it's good for boxing. And it quite clearly is. Everyones excited about it, talking about it, press in the uk are lapping it up and it has all the ingredients for a great fight imo Everyone knew Haye Harrison would be a stink out, Haye Wlad went how i expected it to go regardless of the talk. But I expect this one to be quite exciting.
I've known boxrec to state fights are happening months before the fight was scheduled and the same goes with them cancelling fights aswell. I wouldn't take this with a pinch of salt. We might be getting updates that the fight might be cancelled. I wouldn't be surprised if it's the Luxembourg commission that cancels the fight because of the WBC.
I sure hope those nazis dont stop this fight from happening. If so there must be a conspiracy to keep the heavyweight division void of exciting fights. This is really going to be a fun buildup and probably a fun fight
I'm not sure its good for boxing because it would send all the wrong signals to the fans and to kids training to be boxers. But it is a good fight from a pure entertainment point of view and I REALLY want to see it.
Boxrec are trying to do the impossible keeping up with every fight on every card, every day of the year. Little wonder they make mistakes from time to time. In most cases they'd be relying on other people's information anyway.
The might be afraid of BBofCs treats. I also read one of their editors has or has had a position with the BBofC.
That's what everyones saying but, these are fighters. They are pumped up adrenaline ridden violent people, these things are going to happen. Does anyone really care about the press conference fight? I couldn't believe the deal made about it. That **** happens all the time but trust the British Press to blow it up. Love shitting all over there own sportsmen. Drives me insane. Also, this is one incident. Sure if this was happening regular at every second press conference it would be bad for boxing but one incident please. I doubt it will make one smidgen of difference to any single up and coming boxer.
It was only up for like one day, its been off ever since the BBBOC(wankers)had a hissy fit, wouldnt read to much into it to be honest.
boxrec is supposed to be impartial. the fact that they aren't recognizing the matchup makes me believe the wbc has the website in its back pocket.
