Chisora is underrated

So he lost to Vitali Klitschko (on point, not on knockout!), to David Haye and to Tyson Fury... But he did well against them (even against Haye, he was just too aggresive) and he was robbed against Robert Helenius. And all of his other fights, he've won. Why isn't he given the credit he deserves?

I'm impressed with his level of competition with so little fights. i'm a fan. he needs to go on a streak of fighting heavys outside the top 20 n get more experience

After less than 20 fights he needs to keep developing his skills and keep in shape. Unfortunately in today's heavyweight climate everybody wants instant success and puts more value on a cheesy undefeated record rather than actual experience with losses. That said, I just don't think he's maximized his potential yet rather than being underrated.

Too aggressive against Haye?:patsch Coming forward and not throwing punches isn't called aggression its called being a walking punching bag.

Cisora is under rated like most fighters on this site but being TOO aggressive against Haye was not an issue. The only time he threw a combo was after he got dropped.

Would you agree that was caused by the inexperience of fighting a fast hard hitting fighter at the world level or do you think he just not that good?

Even though he's a bit of a fruit loop, I admire his Heart to take on anyone anytime. He's got that old-school mentality.

I appreciate the fact that he has faced quality opposition but he's lost the biggest fights, he is what he is.

Helenius was fighting with a career ending injury which happened before the fight, so I would not give Chisora too much credit for that. Aside from that, he's lost every time he's stepped up. Chisora is a on the level of his nigerian counter part, Sam Peter. Brave, powerful, but crude with low ring IQ.

I think he's underrated too. He can box pretty well and if he stays in shape, he can only get better. He was clearly out of shape when he fought Haye IMO. Aside from the fist fight he had with his trainer on Beyond the Ropes, I'm hearing stories of people who personally know Joe Hanks saying that Hanks was beating him up in sparring sessions.

    of course he is.

He lost to Tyson Fury and David Haye, a lot of people on this site HATE both those guys and will do anything to discredit them, including calling Chisora a "Bum"

Not that Chisora could ever even come close to beating a Klitschko, but Chisora is good. And Haye is much better than the haters want to give him credit for (and from time to time I've been a hater). Personally, I think Chisora would beat 3rd-rate Fury any day of the week if he was focused and in shape (big if), and he clearly beat Helenius' ass. Chisora and Arreola are not that different. They're their own worst enemies.

chisora was KO'd by one of, if not the hardest puncher in the division, gave vitali his toughest fight in years, came in grossly overweight and lost to fury, and straight up beat robert helenius in his hometown. he's a locomotive and a viable player in the heavyweight division. I don't know if he's underrated or overrated, but he can beat many guys in the division and if he plays his cards right, he may hold a belt one day.

Chisora sucks. Fury, Vitali and Haye dominated him you fool. How is losing 11 rounds to 1 close or getting brutally getting KTFO in 5 rounds close

David Price would own him knock him out. I hope that fight happens.

I love him and I support him 100% still. The guy has been fighting top guys with less than 20 fights! People were way too hard on him. They were saying he's a bum! I dont think so. In my mind Dereck is still top ten. He beat Helenius no matter what the crooked judges say.
He lasted with Vitali and pushed him in that fight. He lasted with Fury while being out of shape.
He fights anyone and he fights often. He has an iron chin. Dereck got up and was ready to fight after both knockdowns in the Haye fight.
