Chisora - Not world class

I don't think I've ever heard anyone call Chisora world class??? He's rugged and durable and isn't afraid to fight anyone, anywhere, he's also a bit of lunatic but world class boxer I think we can all agree he is not, still he would of beat up Malik Scott had he been given the chance.

 

If he isn't world class (not that big a thing in todays division) then nor is Fury who did beat Chisora when he was fat. I'd have to say on account of his fights even when losing against top class fighters like Vitali and Haye he's given a good account of himself and been competitive...so I'd have to say yes he IS world class. He'll be entering the top 10 i'm sure after his win over Scott.

Seen Chisora fight a lot better when he was coming up, threw a good array of shots when he beat s.e.xton and Helenius. Looked Wild and sloppy, slow against Haye and this latest fight against Scott. Not sure what's happened to him. Yes he is not a world beater but he's a better fighter than what he's been showing lately.

Anyone else feel the same? Maybe he should try another trainer, seems to be going backwards somewhat. Needs a trainer who is going to polish him up and some tough sparring partners to sharpen up.

 

He most certainly is world class. I also think his style suits him and he doesnt need a new trainer. He needs to be in top shape at all times, Wlad type shape. Sharpening his mauling style is all that needs to be done.

Is he top 3? No but he is certainly top 15.

I think what Chisora needs to do is just hit to the body for the first 6 rounds then go to the head
His punching technique to the head is terrible but if he can slow his opponent down he can catch them easier

 

He is the Andre Berto of the heavyweight division.

 

No he's not but his heart, hunger and toughness has gotten the job done.

 

All I heard before the fight was that Scott was the best heavyweight in the world, unbeatable. Scott said he was the best and that he would easily knock out both Klitschkos. Bullcrap! Wilder is a fraud also. Tony Thompson would knock Scott and Wilder out. Wilder refused to fight Thompson...........

 

As a casual fan my definition of World Class is different. I've dipped in and out of boxing for almost 30 years and right now I only see 2 world class heavyweights in the Klits and a potential world class heavyweight fighter in David Haye who for me is yet to show his class as a heavyweight. The rest I don't consider anywhere near world class. Just the rest of a bad bunch. Thats just my opinion.

 

He is indeed World class. True you could pick about 30 fellas to beat him at HW but he is of course World class.

What did people watch in that fight with Scott that makes you chaps think Chisora is elite? Speaking as someone who fought at a certain level all I saw was Dereck plodding forward as usual and getting completely taken apart by Scott, the difference in technical ability between the two men was staggering. Then the "KO" happened.

 

Chisora's sorta higher echelon gatekeeper level. The kinda guy you'd have to get past to be able to compete near the top. I mean, he's fought a lot of the guys hovering around the top 10-15 and must be considered amongst them, but probably wouldn't ever get his hands on a belt even in a world without Klitschkos.

What is meant by world class? If it means a beltholder or potential champ - then probably not. If it means competitive at international level, then I'd say he is.
