just watched a re-run of the fight, and some thoughts instantly spring to mind first off, congrats to Chisora, who showed that the Haye loss didn't his career and came into the fight in great shape, using his weight to tire his opponent out and landing the occasional big punch, I wouldn't mind seeing this Chisora in a Fury rematch, I also think GBP should be hugely relieved it was Scott and not Wilder in the ring tonight now, Malik Scott, he disapointed me tonight, for whatever reason, he chose to fight off the ropes instead of boxing his way to a win, he had his moments, if he had more power, some of the shots he landed would of hurt Chisora, he should also learn to count to 10, though I think that was a mixture of bad refereeing and Scott being unable to count all in all, a decent scrap, hopefully Chisora will now fight a bigger name and come in at least the same decent shape as tonight, as for Scott, I think he should take a few fights with lesser opponents if he ever wants to try to make it back into the top of the division
He started to stand after the 9, a fighter with that many fights at the age of 32 should know better. He gave up plain and simple. See how happy he was to lose?
about the count i would like to add that it looked very similar to knock down of James Douglas in Tyson fight.
who knew 10 came after 8 in england?? chisora probably goes on and wins the fight but boxing is so dirty.
If one takes a look at both fighters records before the bout then you know that Malick should have won but when you find that it's a Frank ****** promoted fight and it's in England then you realize it will be next to impossible that his bum fighters will lose . We've just been had once more by his tricks . Poor Malik .
Chisora would have stopped Scott anyway. Scott go up too late and it was Scott's fault. Scott has not fought anyone for all these years, finally he got his arse kicked...................
Was a good win for Chisora. I didn't think hed show up in the shape he did, glad to see him back from the Haye loss. Scott was pretty disappointing tonight. Never seen a fighter happier to lose, other then maybe Victor Ortiz. Even Ortiz isn't going off to smoke cigars with the dude that just stopped him though atsch Oh.... and when you are in hostile territory, you don't stay on your knees until the count of 9 atsch
Yeah...............and Scott claimed he was the best heavyweight, by far, in the world today. He claimed he would knock both Klitschkos out easily...............well.................so much for that..............
haha most guys are getting up at 8 at the latest when on a knee, moving at the count of 9 is just poor judgement and foolishness, its a boxer job to show he has the intent to continue or is in a position to continue anything less what do you expect the ref to do.
Yeah , he didn't know everething was sorted , like Frank W said before the fight : ยก CHISORA HAS TO WIN ! . Peace .
My thoughts are that almost EVERYBODY lost with this fight: Scott just lost any chance of a further career. (he's nuts to think there will be a big-money rematch, although I'm sure that's what they promised him if he "played along.") Chisora lost big-time. Not only did Scott make him look bad for 6 rounds, but now he has the "Timothy Bradley" curse. Most folks will see him as a guy who never really beat anyone good, and only beat Scott because the fix was in. - And that's eaxtra sad because IMO Chisora was on his way to a legitimate victory. The fans lost, of course, by not seeing the real outcome. The ref lost, because hopefully he'll never work again. - Not because he threw the fight, but because he was so obvious in doing so. Can't have that. Steve Bunce lost, because he was just exposed as the network shill that he is. (He sure had me fooled.) The network lost, because casuals just got treated to another inexplicable outcome, which will drive them even further away. - And in addition, becasue the ref refused to break up the clinches (probably because it favored Chisora's inside game) the fight was a lot uglier & duller than it might otherwise have been. ------------------- So who did win? The bookies, I guess, who were probably behind the fix, and made a killing off of the huge number of bets on the over.
