There's a difference. Pacquiao has been hit with bombs since his early career KOs and has weathered them admirably. The biggest thing that surprised me in his fight against Cotto was the fact that he took what should have been devastating shots ... and carried on without batting an eyelid. You could say the same for the Margarito fight, minus the batting of the eyelids.

However, Wlad has not been KOed for ages simply because he's gotten a better boxer: he's been hit less, with less hard blows. The fight with Briggs is the most obvious of a number of examples of the fact that Wlad simply hasn't been hit as much or as hard as at the start of his career. The opposite is true of Pacquiao.

 

He sold the Harrison fight on being an All British title fight with 2 boxers with high profiles in the UK - a very rare thing.

Against someone who won an Olympic gold medal, and talked all kinds of nonsense about being a World Champ in 10 fights or something.

Harrison fought like dog****, and has in the past, but Harrison (when he puts his testicles in) can punch, and Haye has a ropey chin.

Of course we know what Harrison did in the ring.

Remind me who he fought before harrison.

Because unless I'm mistaken, it was a former (two time? three time?) world champion, who in 2008 won a WBC title eliminator fight also.


What factual grounds are any assumptions based on? My assumption was based on the fact that only in the last couple of days has Harrison's purse been released after his **** poor performance.

The Harrison fight was sold on the All British think. Chef/Wlad are saying they were worried that haye would do that again with Chisora.

I would say the british public wouldn't be so keen to throw money at another All British title fight after the farce the last one was. Especially when only about 6 people in the UK have actually heard of Chisora.
