Meanwhile in the civilised country of New Zealand. The Parker vs Ruiz press conference went on without any tables or glasses thrown. The two fighters were respectful and thanked the promoters for the opportunity. Andy Ruiz also got to have a hug from Parker's mum and Barry's wife.

Parker's mum and Ruiz's mum also had a photo together.

Maybe someday Chisora will actually win one of these high-profile fights. I doubt it, though.

I am tired of Chisora's crap before a fight, he should save his energy for the fight instead of losing...................

I would prefer that. Both civil. Anthony Joshua is the same - very respectful. Fans see that as boring. But Joshua and Parker do their talking inside the ring - I don't know much about Ruiz. I would much rather watch a Parker or Joshua fight, than watch Whyte or Chisora - who are pretty basic and limited fighters.

This is nice. I'm getting sick of the whole "go as crazy and angry as you can at the your opponent cliché". Can't they just act like adults for a change?

Nice to see Clifton Mitchell proving to be totally ineffectual YET again, he was nearest to Chis but back off and let the other lads restrain him

He was just the same in the after bell fracas at Josh vs Whyte, total poser.

Yeah, and I wouldn't be at all surprised if Parker-Ruiz turns out to be way more of a war than Chisora-Whyte does - when the bells ring.

I always say the same thing... "Don't fall for all the fake build up and false hatred"

But then it comes to it and I always get fully bought into it... But F-IT what else am I going to do??? Watch Eastenders???

Rumours the fight is going to be cancelled...

There is a meeting currently ongoing with the BBBoC to determined whether or not the fight will take place

Would be gutted if we lose this fight from the undercard

This seems to be the problem with Dereck: he pulls all these crazy antics at the pressers and the weigh-ins, only to appear docile and largely ineffective come fight night.

He can't channel his aggression. It comes out before the fight and his energy must take a hit because of this. Hence the lame showing when the fight comes. His second bout with Fury showed this more than any...

I would love for Dereck Chisora to do a ring walk to this tune at some point:

Anytime I hear this track I think of that angry plonker Del Boy, although I can't begin to imagine why.

Yeah, he shoots his bolt before the fight instead of saving his aggression for fight night, as you and On The Money both stated.

He turned up in shape for the first Tyson Fury fight but, I suspect, not the second meeting -- which, along with Dereck losing his cool in the buildup, and Fury sussing him out and switching to Southpaw in round 2 to methodically pick Chisora apart, contributed to his docile showing that night.
