I don't begrudge Chisora having an easy fight at this stage. Hopefully he's in with a good but beatable opponent next time out.
My only worry with Del Boy would be him not being able to get up mentally for these C and D level opponents after his string of high profile fights. Whether it be on fight night leading to a potential upset, or during training camp and him coming in at ~265lbs. I think he sees the importance of a fight or 2 against someone of this level though
Chisora is a good name on the HW scene, not the best HW admittedly but a good test and did well against Vitali. If he just keeps himself in shape and gets this win under his belt with another over a better opponent towards the end of the year he could conceivably fight Wlad in 2014 for big money, he's money motivated and to be honest probably couldn't give a **** what people think about his "legacy" he just wants to earn.
How am I supposed to provide facts. I have been told Chisora won't be fighting. The reason I can't state but it's pretty obvious. You can choose to believe me or not....and if Chisora turns up and fights it doesn't prove I am full of ****, I just got something wrong or some bad info. Based on what I was told he wasn't fighting. I guess that changed. But the fact his original (more expensive) opponent has been pulled and he has done no press for the fight what so ever, I would say my post is not particularly outrageous. Now you have ammunition on me when your say I bull****, as nobody had that before. Well done.
read somewhere today he intends to get rid of this guy,and hopes to meet price as he intends to be world champion
Avila is a good oponent for Chisora. I honestly thought Pala was way too risky especially for someone like Chisora who is erratic at the best of times especially when he's not fully focused so could have easily lost to someone like Pala and even worse pull some **** that would have got him banned again. Let him get a win with Avila and then maybe Pala as his second comeback fight on the Cleverley-Hopkins bill in July if it happens and then face the Price later in year if he manages to beat Thompson in the rematch which i think is doubtful.
Hopkins has agreed to fight Murat this summer by all accounts so July sounds out of the question if it really will happen
There is no doubt Rob_USA should be banned from this site, he's already made it clear that he has a personal agenda against Frank and is the main cause of spreading idle gossip and speculation on this forum and other ones too by putting out half truths and so called "insider" info. He even goes round private messaging people, at least have the BALLS to say what you got to say out in the open rather then hint at it or behind peoples backs! Frank is what he is, knows more about the promotion business then all the current promoters do put together. Has he done alot of questionable and bad things in his professional life? without a doubt but he's also put on the greatest British shows we all remember and it's not even a stretch to say he kept British boxing going in the 1990's and 2000's. How many boxers has he actually dealt with over the years either as a promoter or match-maker over the years...maybe over 10,000 boxers? and less then 1% of those boxers have had a problem with him which is pretty good going and most of those who have had a problem with him are the ones who he made multi-millionaires so i'm sure you'd rather have Frank make you a multi-millionaire and have a problem with him then be with another promoter who does everything right and you end up poor! Frank has made more Millionaire Boxers then any other promoter, put his hand in his pocket time after time to help the running of boxing, grass roots boxing, the health and safety of boxers and giving them jobs during their post careers too. He has always been loyal to his boxers and in the case of 99% of them done great by them. BOXNATION is his crowning glory, something that us boxing fans have wanted for the last 20 years for someone to create a boxing channel for the fans and he was the one who finally did it and i'm sure all boxing fans wish it well and to go on to bigger and better things in the future.
Just looked at his record. This Avila guy is not even a bum. This is terrible. I like Chisora. He is a tough guy who fights anybody, but how can anybody defend this choice of an opponent? Please give me some support here! Chisora really deserves some **** here!
I presume people bought tickets thinking that the Pala guy was to be his opponent.Nothing new in this skullduggery, and its been happening a lot lately.Be interesting to see what the whole bill looks like on the 20th.As somebody said,a weeks a long time in boxing.
but but but but but you said that Chisora was off the card for the 20th. On the evidence of what's happened this week everything you say on here should be regarded as pure bull**** until proven otherwise.
Selling under false pretences again. Press release from W*rren today about this Chisora v Avila fight but not a word about where Pala has suddenly disappeared to after weeks of that being the advertised fight.
