I know Eddie is just trolling, but what would people’s reaction to this be.

For those that don’t know, Eddie has tweeted a picture of Briggs, probably hinting at him being the Parker replacement.

He genuinely couldn’t do this could he? I know it probably wouldn’t go down well, but the presser would be absolutely god damn hilarious.

Having trained with Briggs just before the summer, I can tell you that he was woefully out of shape. Still hitting like a mule kick but legit fat, suffering with neck arthritis and as old as Benjamin Button Benn. Press conferences would be gold though...

He's not trolling at all. He's put it there so if the response is overwhelmingly negative he'll say he's joking but if it isn't then it'll probably happen. Be another drug cheat headlining a Hearn show that Bellew won't moan about.

    This is a joke

Does anyone want to know how long he has been out of the ring for?

    It’s 3 years and 4 months

    Stop your moaning,
    Cease your digs,
    The casuals
    Want shannon Briggs,

    Delboy hits
    With bad intention,
    Shannon gets
    To build his pension,

    Eddie's plan,
    Will finally hatch,
    When Briggs returns,
    For the the rematch,

More chance of it being Nigel Benn.

If he was in shape it’d be a laugh but heard he’s let himself go...

Forgetting the logistics of it. This would be a bigger selling point to the average Sky PPV purchaser than if they got in AJ actual half decent fighter

If we are bringing boxers back then I'd sooner see Wlad return.

An extremely dangerous fight for the health of Shannon Briggs. Briggs would likely get under Chisora's skin in the build up and Del Boy will take the old mans head off. Crazy and irresponsible if Hearn goes for it.

I'll be honest with you, it's not the best joke I've ever heard. Think you need to work on the punchline.

    And the setup.

    And the delivery.
