Kinda surprised so many people rate Peter's power so highly, considering he has never KO'd anyone over B level. The closest he's come is a rabbit punching TKO over an old Maskaev. That said, Chisora is not a top HW. I think it would have been a very entertaining a close fight.
Two no skilled crude sluggers going at it. Pretty boring, Sam Peter still gets hyped? Dude was nothing but a crude clobberer, he had nothing.. old Maskaev who hadn't fought in ages nearly decapitated him.
He landed 75 power punches on Wlad, flooring him 3 times. Way more than most other challengers. 2005 Peter would absolutely destroy Chisora.
That was Wladimirs do or die fight on his comeback trail. He fought stiff as a plank and was panicking, and most of the damage Peter did was rabbit punches. Yes he might knock Chisora out, but Peter was in no way this monster everyone makes him out to be, look at his fights against McCline and Maskaev, the dude was slow as molasses and **** poor defensively.
Chisora would leather him. People really DKSAB. Peter couldn't fight past 4 rounds and fought like he was stuck in quicksand. He was terrible. Dell boy has a sold engine that goes far beyond 4 rounds. Haye has hand speed , foot speed and fights off the backfoot setting traps. Peter plods forwards in straight lines. Big difference bewteen Haye and Peter. Helenius knocked also him into never never land and Helenius was punched around like a rag doll by Chisora.
Chisora SD 10/12 in an entertaining fight. Peter really isn't all that, even this mythical 2005 Peter.
I distinctly remember Peter coming up the ranks and people on here hailing him as the next George Foreman etc. Those were the times, when posters such as FourtyOunce made lifetime bets with people like myself. Peter was never that good.
Chambers said Povetkin hit harder than Peter and Povetkin is no massive banger. Peter never knocked out any noteworthy opponent and was only ever knocked out.
