Look at the quality of Queensburys shows now. It’s come full circle from before Frank was on Boxnation and Matchroom was on Sky. Shame he’s joining the wasteland that is DAZN. They make Boxnation seem like ITV in the 1990s.
Yeah the main event is what it is but the Hutchinson vs Parker is an absolute screamer. The other two are very good domestic fights as well.
Do you not think there's a possibility that Frank Warren knows what he's doing (especially more than the couch potatoes who are criticising his strategy)?
This content is protected Described by Umar Ahmed as a "modern legend of British sport". Jesus Christ! He's been something of a cult figure in British boxing scenes, but that's farfetched.
I see Troy Williamson has called for the Heaney fight. That is match up that makes sense imo. It would be a good fight.
A bit harsh. Apologies for giving an opinion on a fans boxing forum. Clearly that is unacceptable and opinions should only be given if you’re are a former world champion. Obviously I’m not a former world champion but I am a couch potato as you called me. Well done you. I based my criticism of his strategy ( apologies again, I’m not a hall of fame promoter either, will I ever shut up ! ) on the ‘ fact ‘ that Matchroom’s UK shows have gone to sh1t since Hearn joined DAZN. Ultimately a couch potato like me knows sh1t all about boxing and I’d like to thank you for putting me in my place. I’m so stupid . I’m sure you know that Hearns UK shows have never been better. I’m really looking forward to the one on Friday 13 December that currently has 5 fights each against TBA. Mouth watering stuff. I feel such a fool.
Chisora is usually in exciting fights but I predict a boring fight on this one One is shot to pieces, gassing quickly lately and on the verge of brain damage, and the other is completely feather fisted ,with a horrible boring running style.
Frank Warren has a track record of being written off. As Frank said in an interview, people said that live broadcast wouldn't work, and dismissed several of his moves thereafter.
Hearns UK shows have gone to **** because he doesn't see himself as a domestic promoter and is focusing on other markers like USA. We suffer as fans but I'm sure business wise, he's making more than ever. He promises more fights in the UK for 2025...won't hold my breath but we will see.
Quite fancied the freak show that was Chisora v Miller for novelty value but this match up with Wallin is a snoozefest.
Haven't you noticed that every time we get to the end of a year, Eddie Hearn always says that next year will be an even better year for Matchroom ?
I agree with your points. Matchroom's UK Shows this year have been the worst in recent years. Many of the main events have been miss matches and not worth watching. I fear that we will see the same scenario when Queensberry joins DAZN.
See that Warrens had to draft Nathan Heaney in to sell some tickets. Chisora doesn't sell outside of London, if they couldn't get the o2 should have used copperbox or Wembley arena.
