Wallin gave Fury a tough fight but took a brutal beating vs Chisora. Don't doubt that the same would've happened if Chisora fought Ngannou. The only question would be if Ngannou lasts till the final bell or gets knocked out.
Sadly, you are probably going to find out. The promotional outfits have been building Chisora up again for someone... Tbh, I find it hard to get too excited about what goes on during a Chisora fight nowadays. He hasn't been in a "real" fight since 2021. They keep wheeling him out in blatantly fixed fights for the baying crowd, yet the fans lap it up as we watch a guy compounding his already disastrous CTE.
I would actually like to see this fight happen, which it very well could. Ngannou is not done with boxing, the only 2 men in the sport he's lost to were the best HWs of the era.
Chisora would always have beaten Wilder... He'd probably still beat Ngannou now, even in his declined current state. Whether Ngannou beats Wilder? Maybe - Wilder was always massively overhyped... Francis CAN be knocked out, we've seen that, but whether Wilder can do it depends on how Francis fights and whether he can keep Deontay cramped up so he can't swing - if he can do that, he can win.
I'd favour Del Boy to win but I think people have gone too far in the other direction with Ngannou after the AJ fight. Hes still somewhat of an unknown quantity. Two fights at the highest levels - one he looked good in, one he looked terrible in.
I'm not so sure. Wallin isn't a big puncher or roider. The mma fighter is (both). Let's compare. Wallin hit Fury a lot and even when he had a clean LH shot right on Fury's jaw in the final round, when Fury basically couldn't see from that side, it only stunned Fury and he did some weird defensive moves for a minute. Mma fighter dropped Fury with one shot. Chisora is highly suspect, he's performing better as an old man than he was in his early 30's. Must be roiding like crazy. Struggled to hurt people early on, now he's dropping Parker, Joyce etc. I remember him back in the early days. Haye had no fear of him because he wasn't a particularly dangerous puncher at HW. I don't think Wallin is PED-ing and if he is it hasn't done much. But the mma fighter is a chemical plant so chisora is not necessarily going to have an easy time.
UK has nothing to do with it, I call it as I see it and always have (as anyone on the Itauma overhype train will tell you, along with those who overhyped Joyce, etc). Chisora would always have been a stylistic nightmare for Wilder, and there was nowhere near as big a difference between them in levels as the hype would have you believe...
If we like it or not : ngannou,s boxing skills , especially footwork and defence , are only on a very good amateur or maybe a medium national pro level . Any lets say top 50 world ranking boxer will quickly find unprotected spots to land a flush one on ngannou,s chin and francis will go down . If ngannou would start his career as a boxer he has the heart , determination and monster physics to be a world champion , here and now he of course would loose against del boy , the same is true against wilder and also wallin .
