Im not impressed at all with what i just saw. This guy is stiff as hell. He's almost as robotic as Aj was in his first few fights accept Aj was a significantly better combination puncher and had far superior hand speed. I won't write Dubois off but he desperately needs his trainer to improve his fluidity. I also think Dubois should be no more than 235lb.
I said i wouldn't write him off, he's young and he can improve massively. But as of now i think even Chisora beats him
Chisora is a terrible match up for him. I think he'd panic from the pressure like Pricey and get folded up before rd 6. I could see him doing better against classic boxer types
Dubois would stop him mid rounds. Dubois would hurt Chisora and unlike Parker, would finish him off badly.
Chisora is the best gatekeeper ever in the division. I've always said that whoever can beat him is a legit top10-top15 fighter.
Chisora takes him at this point in time. The relentless pressure would dumbfound and rattle DuBois, whose ability to to fight off the backfoot is questionable.
Yeah right now Chisora would once again expose Dubois inexperience, I said as much after the loss to Joyce. Dubois isn't a boxer, he fights one way go right at your opponent, back them up with the jab and when they are on the ropes unload and KO them. The Dinu fight was basically the same Dubois method of winning as he's done in every other fight. Chisora isn't an easy guy to back up and even if you do back him up he knows how to fight off the ropes, he'll tuck up, roll with the shots, wait for Dubois to stop punching and catch him with a big overhand right counter and with Dubois' total lack of defence and head movement, he will be wide open for Chisora's right hand. Sure Dubois has a punchers chance but Chisora has only been stopped twice and both times he walked into a huge counter and Dubois isn't a counter puncher. Dubois may have the power to KO Chisora but he doesn't have the tools of method to apply that power, he's simply too predictable and will have nothing to keep Chisora off him when Chisora is walking him down.
I would take Chisora to win right now as Chisora just rolls forward like a Sherman tank while remaining defensively minded. That kind of educated pressure with Chisora's thudding power is more than DDD can handle right now. However, Dubois is now with a top coach who should be able to mould DDD into a far more effective and dangerous fighter in a year or 2 and they have plenty of time. As already stated, DDD needs to relax more and add in some head and upper body movement. Just his reaction alone last night to the win told me he is already in a far better place mentally.
Extremely predictable, holy hell. He's very young so as i've said wont write him off but he really needs more in his arsenal and improvements with his fluidity, because from what i can tell he is still so methodical it's crazy. i just think he has a lot of potential to unlock.
He reminds me so much of Frank Bruno. He has such outstounding power, but lacks the ability to fight off the back foot and is too open. He needs 2-3 fights before facing Chisora. At this stage it would be too much of a risk for him to take, although I still think he would stop Chisora. It would be risky, because Chisora would go all out in the first 3-4 rounds to break him down and stop him.
I mean he couldn’t dodge the slowest jab in the HW division vs Joyce. He definitely still had work to do.
