It goes something like this..... Wlad goes from #3(Haye)-#13(Chisora) before getting a winter fight in 2010. He then injured himself in training, but rescheduled the fight for March. Chisora was being raked thru the coals in the media for being a novice and both he and K2 bigged him up some by saying he was the best British HW willing to fight Wlad. That got the wheels turning in Hayes mind and he signed to fight Wlad under the condition that he drop the Chisora fight. Wlad agreed, and a gutted Chisora went on a bender of booze, drugs, and food and ballooned up to 260. He then signed to fight Fury in which he was horribly underprepared. He lost, but came back vs an injured Helenius and acquitted himself quite well, at which time, K2, feeling indebted to Chisora, offered him a shot at Vitali who was waiting on Stiverne and the WBC to name a mandatory. Vitali gave Chisora the shot and K2 ethical obligation was fulfilled and Chisora's career resurrected.
Steward advised Wlad not to fight Chisora. He didnt like the style matchup for Wlad. Steward told this to Steve Bunce and Francis ****** among others and this is on video, Bunce and Francis saying this. Wlad also offered the winner of Fury v Chisora a match but that didnt happen. It was Vitali who eventually fought Chisora two losses later.
Yeah, a lose lose situation. He beats the 14-0 novice and he's picking on nobodies, but Stewards advice on not fighting the Chisora fight had 100% to do with the fact that they were in negotiation with David Haye and 0% to do with stylistic match-ups. Steward was NEVER gonna come out and same Chisora was an unworthy opponent. Not in the media. He had to big up the fight somehow, and saying that Chisora presented a certain was the only way for him to deflect the negative media attention team Klitshcko was getting when they signed the fight. :rofl:rofl:rofl
