Only Sky could apply the required varnish to this particular turd. One journeyman, with an unpleasant, unpredictable personality going up against a perfectly nice guy with no edge or selling point to him whatsoever. Take into account the fact it's a rematch of what was a mind numbing 36 minutes last time and my DAZN cancellation 6 weeks ago never looked so astute.
According to BARB, Chisora-Parker 1 did 45,000 buys on Sky Box Office. That was without a live crowd. BARB isn't 100% accurate, only Sky know the real figures. But BARB figures say Povetkin-Whyte 2 did 197,000 buys - over 4x more. TLDR: when people knew about it due to the "mighty Sky machine", almost nobody cared. It isn't a great fight. I'm watching as I have DAZN this month, and I have a feeling this will be the last highish profile UK card for a couple of months due to the virus. I'll try and make the best of it, hopefully there's at least one proper scrap in there. Everyone - remember to get your DAZN cancellations in after this card. Dip in, dip out. They have had a great last month or so, but don't pay for empty air.
I think everyone is in agreement here that Chisora is in time waste mode now in his career and he's only here for the money not the wins. His bullsht about bringing war and pain doesn't fool anyone. Question is, who at Sky and DAZN is authorising his fights? Because no one at all wants to see Chisora stink up our screens again so why is he still lingering around like a bad smell?
Dull as anything. As everyone has already alluded to the first fight was bad. I watched the whole thing and couldn’t even remember who won which also highlights the lack of importance the fight had. I’m on nights tonight though so watching this pre Christmas fight with some beers is now looking a hell of a lot more desirable. I had a good run when I first got Dazn. It was around the time of the Campbell Garcia fight at the cheaper price and there was a few good fights around then. I’m cancelling now. It’s just not worth it.
They are clucking for last-minute buys with stuff like this and Hearn retweeting it This content is protected
Disagree, Chisora does not care about his record anymore but he does care about his reputation and he will be wanting to impress tonight. He don't turn up for peanut paydays so he needs to reaffirm his position as a world level enforcer/stand by man. Parker by SD.
If he cares about his reputation he’d have fcked off a long time ago. Anyone who knows anything about boxing knows he’s shyte and can see through the war crap.
He is never going to mix it with the the top fighters in the division as he has proven already but 'anyone who knows anything about boxing' accept that Del is a handful for anyone outside that bracket.
Didn’t mean to come across arsey - but if he’s not in that bracket he shouldn’t be rammed down our throats as ‘reborn’ every time he fights. He was pretty much an undercard fighter from 2014-18 and still had a few losses even then but is suddenly headlining cards even though he loses every single one. When the quality of Matchroom cards decreased Chisora was bumped up to top of the bill.
Congratulations. You've found evidence of a subscription channel / promotional company advertising an upcoming live event via social media. I found a few more for you that you might find interesting. This content is protected This content is protected This content is protected
