It's your sustained support and fanfare for The Pioneers over whelming success as a mediocre international level boxer which always garners the most laughter on here...

    Called blind stupid faith....

I can't recalll anyone on here discrediting Medley, in fact my posts regarding this fight, it's circumstances it was finally fought under and the result held Medley in high regard.....as opposed to how I rated The Pioneer for creating a moot point from what was originally intended to be Medley's opportunity...I guess The Pioneers selfishness and disrespect for Medley counts for nought in the eyes of a part time fight fan.

Rob Medley was bad you say and was outclassed by Anthony but lets not forget Gary Dean had only 2 points in it. There are so many people bagging Anthony they let both the judges terrible scorecard and the referees blindness of a knock down go without mention. Also how proud are all you Mundine baggers of Danny Green defending his cruiser title against middleweight Manny Siaca. Manny probably needs the money he hasnt fought for 12 months. Hes also been reported to be punching to hard for Peter Kariuki. A super Middle. Now thats frightening.

Now now balmain, don't deflect, you can't sit there and act astonished at people expecting more of Anthony "I Can't Believe It's Not Pavlik" Mundine, given the rubbish he continually comes out with about being the best etc. Yes I know, it's to hype his fights, but has he ever heard the story about the Boy Who Cried Wolf?

At least Green doesn't go around claiming to be the best etc.

Im no Green fan either Balmain with his paper belt & poor defences against the likes of Siaca...even the blind man knows that.

Mundine's choice of opposition has been appalling...fighting only South American cabbies chucked in with some very fringe Aussie contenders that only score wins mainly against guys with sub .500 records.
Look at Rob Medley for example....Medley's best wins are Kaizer Mabuza(natural Junior Welter) & Tui Leveni (natural welterweight).
Mundine should have only even considered Medley as a supporting act on his undercard.:yep

Mundine seems to be in the business of excuses, not boxing.

Ottke loss - had the flu, no sparring partners.

Echols win - carried a broken rib into the fight.

Siaca loss - carried badly sprained ankle into fight.

Kessler rematch - decided he was better suited to fight at MW.

Geale rematch - decided he was better suited to fight at LMW.

Medley fight at LMW - demanded own judges and ref for fight, didn't get his way, decided fight would be at MW instead.

Not getting Pavlik/Sturm etc for next fight - recovering from hip operation.

I can't believe there are still people who believe this guy, he's been conning you all since he lost to Kessler :nut

Kegsy I agree with what you are saying. Yes in the past he has fought some well below standard guys. I understand Khoders reasoning of staying active while waiting for something big to happen. It has been well overdue so I for one are happy on what has been mapped out for his immediate future. And IBM we all know why your boy Danny doesnt go round claiming hes the best dont we.

balmain, if one of you pro-Mundine posters would at least admit that he's been cruising on easybeats because his eyesight isn't 100% since his eye infection and/or that his mobility hasn't been great of late due to his hip injury, I would have some respect. But to continually believe, or claim you believe, his continual line of BS that he's taking stay busy fights 'while waiting for something big to happen' indicates to me that you guys are all taken hook, line and sinker by said BS.

'Something big' was when he was Kessler's mandatory but he ran down to MW to avoid that. Then he ran down to LMW to avoid a rematch with Geale.

Can you explain why he avoided a rematch with Kessler by vacating his title and moving down to MW, given he was calling him out for 2 years and it was in defence of his WBA SMW title?

Can you explain why he chose to move down to LMW to fight Medley rather than rematch Geale? Surely a rematch would take him one close closer to a fight with one of the world MW champs?

Exactly what 'big things' did those 2 actions bring closer?

Also, why doesn't Green go around saying he's the best, balmain?

Mate you say Khoder wants him to stay active but at the end of the day there are two things wrong with that.

    1. Fine he can stay active but hes been doing it against absolute **** opposition. Theres no reason why Anthony cant fight decent fighters every time out. People give the old excuse of : you cant fight a Pavlik or Kessler every time but that's not the point. Just because you cant fight bigger names fighters it doesnt mean you cant fight good fighters. Just becuase you cant get Pavlik it doesnt mean you fight Jose Alberto Clavero or Allejandro Gustovo Falliga! Why cant Anthony fights guys that while they arent huge names they are still good fighters ranked legitimately in the Top 10 - 15?

    2. Look at all of Anthonys injuries. Eye injuy, bicep tear, groin problem, hip problem. Maybe if Anthony would just take 5 or 6 months off from fighting he wouldnt have to be constantly in training and then his body could have a chance to heal. Becuase Khoder is so desperate for Anthony to be active he has to train through injury and they never get better, only gradually worst. As a result his body and his performances gradually decline and suffer.

Point is Anthony isnt getting any younger now is he. And he sure as hell isnt getting better fight by fight any more either. He should first give his body PROPER chance to FULLY heal from all injuries. Then step it up right away and beginning fighting Sturms and Pavliks. Time is running out or according to some has already ran out. He has pretty much had 3 years of meaningless fights no wonder no one is interested anymore.
