very dissapointed by rhodes, looked like he was just trying to survive didnt throw enough didnt commit to anything and basically didnt look like a fighter that wanted to win in what was probably his last chance saloon, Alvarez was too strong and quick and i don't think he even got out of 2nd gear until that last round

I'm glad i didn't go for bet on Rhodes. I thought he'd cause problems but the Moore fight i think some people only remembered round 7 when analyzing fight.

I just don't get what Rhodes was trying to do? I thought maybe he was waiting until Alvarez gassed a bit but he didn't pick it up after the 6th.

You need a good solid jab to keep Alvarez at bay, he's good but hasn't been tested at all yet.

grr, rhodes was not doing anything to win,he should have pressured and outworked alverez from the start, work the body, make alverez struggle to hit at will, make alverez counter and really fight.turn alverez, really combination punch on him.
just a euro level fighter im afraid.not fast enough for handspeed and movement,no pressure,no timing or countering done.

alverez isnt THAT powerful,he is busy, quite fast, quite composed, but not that good,1st world level opponent he faces he loses to them.

hes old enough in fight experience to be fighting real contenders and other champions seen as hes handed a belt and is calling himself a champ.

Well it went exactly how I expected Rhodes is just not in Canelo's league.

Look forward to following this kids career!

Alveraz will prove hard to bet i think, fast hands and throws in 3's 4's and 5's. everytime rhodes threw Alveraz fired straight back.

i wouldnt chuck him in with Cotto just yet
