Choi/Asiku, Murray/Blackwell, Alvarez/Rhodes RbR & Discussion Thread!!!

For me i refuse to get carried into hype of Alvarez he's been well matched so far and it does benefit him he's not faced a man with similar speed or a even match. He's far from unbelievable but Canelo is a good young fighter who's physically so mature for 20 year old (swear he was 20 2 years ago..).

He lets hands go nicely with such variation but like to see him against someone willing to throw first and is able to step off to side and make him think. At the moment he's showing poise but hasn't been in a thinking fight with a highly skilled fighter such as a Cotto etc. So i remain cautious to lavish to much praise but he's good for age no doubts.

Ryan i dunno...he was never gonna go and do a Nigel Benn or perform like Froch and come back late on. I thought he'd be a bit more confident to lead off but seemed to have cautious gameplan and mindset and couldn't adjust. I think he should jack it in now he's lost 18 months sitting on hands waiting and i think he hasn't done anything to get another big fight. He'd have to go through another hard 1 or 2 fights to get to pinnacle and i don't think it's worth it really because he looks slower and lost half a step.

One fight and then retire would be best IMO.

i don't think he's ready for cotto yet, let Cotto put a few more miles on the clock and with 1 or 2 more fights and he'll learn a great deal from Cotto

 

:rofl:rofl I was thinking during fight some poor sod on here's chucked a pony (£25) on Rhodes to win. I can imagine his face when rounds go by and still Ryan hasn't even mustered up any Arram Punches..
