The latest notice from the British Boxing Board of Control says that Chois licence remains suspended until he appears before the Central Area Council. I notice Spencer Fearon has been called to their next meeting, too Can someone enlighten me as to whats going on here? I just hope there are no further work permit problems for Choi And if Spencer reads this, can he tell us what his plans are for Chois next fight, please?
Ive asked spence on FB (and had a rant about Calzaghe on there too ) Will let you know when he replies to me :good
Lads Spence just sent me this.... "Choi has been suspended which will be a brief thing due to him not going to the board meeting as he was not in the country. He returned home to Mongolia and not is back in the UK. The next board meeting Choi will attend with myself he wrote to the board saying that he no longer wanted to managed by Jack Doughty. Jack still wants to manage him so arguements will happen and this has to be sorted now his is the manager that didn't get him a fight for 14 months after beating Matthews? We will be at the next meeting then see what happens."
Dan--thanks for this. So apparently nothing for us to worry about... Can Spencer tell us anything about who he'd like Choi to fight next?
I hope so. I've never met him but he comes across as a geniunly nice guy. He showed a lot of potential against Matthews that, because of crap managment, was never fufilled.
