His main strength was he's very strong and durable and punches quite hard. Never really got the opportunities he deserved in British boxing circles, he was pretty much avoided because there are far easier routes to take for the same money.

Last I heard his wife couldn't get a visa to go back to the UK and he's back in Mongolia.

Can he still make some noise?

Boxrec says he's 38 and the WBU champ (what ever thats worth).

I doubt it, I'm not sure if he'll even box again. I even heard he was toying with the idea of MMA. Even if he does he's unlikely to get the backing behind him in Mongolia to make any serious noise and yeah, he's 38.

IMO he wasn't a world class fighter anyway, people went a bit overboard with the rhetoric because he was avoided and dangerous at British level. At that level he was a contender alongside the best like Martin Lindsay and John Simpson who he never got a chance to fight but at world level he'd never have the skillset to be a threat, he'd be too basic and predictable.

as tffp said he was strong and durable

he beat rising star derry mathews and that was probably a bad thing for him as he was avoided ever since
