Exactly, these morons are the kings of shifting goal posts.

The narrative is that the smaller heavyweights could hang with bigger ones from the 80's onwards. Nothing wrong with that, but if youre narrative is "technique beats size" and you constantly bring up the amazing "condition, speed, defense" etc of smaller fighters and claiming theyd hang with bigger ones...

...Then argue for 20 pages about how so and so fighter was actually around the same size as fighter X, you just went against your own narrative! By making a big conspiracy about measurements/height/perception, you are basically saying your favorite smaller fighter needs to be propped up in height and weight to level the playing field. It totally contradicts the narrative that smaller heavtweights have a chance BECAUSE of their ability to OVERCOME the size difference! Was rocky lying when he admitted on camera he had a 68' reach? I guess it was actually more like 74' and he was just doubting himself.

Every single jack dempsey or joe louis thread against a modern sized fighter, they inevtiably bring up willard, carnera, etc to point out how they made adjustments to a bigger opponent. Now i guess the narratice is nobody is actually 6'7 and that a 30 pound difference is "actually around the same size"...???

I guess if my son ends up being a 5'9 170 pound string bean ill tell him not to give up on his nba dream since the tv just gives him a "false impression" of how tall those guys are!

Is that why there are currently moves to create another heavyweight division?

There aren't moves to make a SHW division, there are some talks.
Like there were in the 30's...

The fact that it is being discussed and talked about indicates the opposite to what you are saying,

Are you insuinating Louis at 6'2" wore platforms? Why?

Louis is listed at being less than two inches shorter than Norton and Foreman. His 213 pound listing against Marciano is not far off from their in ring listings, and hes probably 220 or 230 at middle aged walking weight. So i dont see what there is too mock..
