Holyfield gave up an inch and a half in height and nearly 40 pounds in weight to Douglas and Buster lasted two and a half rounds.

Joe Louis could hang with Foreman and Norton. These size disparities look drastic on a stat sheet but in the ring, as we saw on that clip of Louis and Foreman and Norton, an inch or two at heavyweight ain't much.

Douglas didn't exactly dwarf Holyfield and he was larger by similar numbers you're giving. Holyfield and Douglas looked to be the same size. Louis and Foreman and Norton looked to be the same size.

Well that's down to how you interpret it, height-wise he is certainly very similar in height, obviously he was lighter for most of his career. Stop playing silly buggers will you.

Six feet one and a half, and 197.25lbs is smaller than six feet three and 217.5lbs.
Its that basically simple, unarguable, incontrovertable ,and obvious.
Only anyone attempting to argue that is being silly, silly to the point of imbecilic!

No you're missing the point. They aren't sharing clothes. It doesn't matter if one guy is an inch bigger here and the other is an inch bigger there. Or the cuff comes down a little longer on this guys wrist. How big is his wrist is. How big is his chest is.

The size disparity you're talking about is a freaking inch or two.

The numbers you're talking about mean NOTHING. Absolutely nothing. They are heavyweights.

If you plan on wearing the same pants. Otherwise, it doesn't mean squat.

Mcvey, you are right about the size difference.
But I think you are extrapolating the wrong conclusions based on them.

A 10lb difference, or even a 20-30lb one for that matter, can look very negligible in certain cases around 200lb when lighter guy is naturally built for boxing, and perfectly optimized for their style and the sport.

Deontay Wilder will not appear physically outmatched by Anthony Joshua when they are squared up in the ring, despite the 30lb difference. Wilder doesn't look 220lb, because his body is perfectly efficient for boxing, and there is no superfluity in his physique.

Now you're talking about a 10-20lb difference and an inch between Louis and Foreman?
That is absolutely nothing, when you consider that Joe Louis was one of the five finest fighting machines to ever live. In which his physique was refined and optimized for the greatest power punching mechanics we've ever seen.

The real story, in my eyes, is how similar they are in size, despite the images we have in our heads.

Who said it's not smaller, it's hardly comparing a Great fcuking Dane to a Jack Russell though is it? An inch and a half, get a grip will ya......
