Especially if a Floyd fight is on the table.

Of course he will, the payday will send him there in full force. However, he doesn't have a single significant win over a Welterweight to be considered, which is why his name isn't mentioned and won't be mentioned. Mayweather is going to get a lot more heat for fighting Garcia over Khan for that reason.

I doubt he'll fight Danny and I have no interest in that fight if it happens. But if we're talking name value, Garcia has more than Brook or Thurman.

Mayweather vs Cotto at Madison Square Garden in September/October/November for the lineal Middleweight championship.

Than take a long break and have his swan song against the Pacman at the new arena being built in Vegas next year in the fall.

There is absolutely no need for Mayweather / Pac 2, even if you think the so called shoulder injury played a part in the result.

The only possible reason for this would be to find out how many morons there are on the planet willing to pay to see Mayweather totally out class him again.

It would be a swan song for these 2 ATG's. It's all dependent on if FLoyd feels like rematching him. He doesn't owe him anything after that stinkfest Pacman put up in their fight.

But I'm sure they could find a way to really spin a good enough story to make it a compelling enough fight for late next year, especially if Pacman has a fight before than against a top guy and dominates him.

I agree with you that Mayweather would beat him again, if not worse. He's already seen his style and knows how to deal with him.

So was Pac's injury excuse legit?

If so then I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch.

Thurman in September then I would be fine with a re-match in May 2016. Just don't charge 99.99. Charge 49.99 and make the tickets more reasonable so real boxing fans can go if they want. It will still generate a huge gate and PPV money. Especially if they have it at the new MGM arena that is under construction that will seat 22,000 for Boxing that 6,000 more seats to sell.

I know, but name value doesn't end at "name value". I'm sure you'll agree that based on name value all alone, Wladimir Klitschko and Rigondeaux are great options too, right?. Hey, Mayweather can move up for Wladimir and Rigondeaux can move up for Mayweather.

I agree the 100 dollars was a little ridiculous.. Mayweather-Thurman would be interesting, I think Mayweather beats him though.

I agree that Mayweather would beat Thurman but style wise I think it would be the best fight for the fans. Garcia would get smoked and Khan is worthless. Because of what happened last weekend they are going to have a hard time selling the September fight so he is going to have to pick a 'dangerous' opponent. Garcia and Khan don't fit that bill.

Let's stop being silly. Danny is not far out of the realm of possibility. I'd say he's in the top 5 most likely opponents and is much more likely than Kell or Keith regardless of resume at 147. JMM had no 147 resume either.

I don't anyone beats Mayweather right now at 147, him going 50-0 seems pretty likely actually. Which I hate, because I really wanted to see him lose at least once.
